The store appears to be clean. Plenty of parking spaces in a huge parking lot. There is not a HUGE selection of goods as you would find at say a Trader Joe's. But it's sufficient. The prepared food is freshly prepared and was delicious. I had purchased the rotisserie chicken salad and it was so tasty. I also appreciated the selection of of artisanal breads, in particular, the sourdough bread. Overall, a decent place to shop. Service was okay. Not friendly but adequate. Ohhh......and did I mention, the whole chicken rotisserie was a standout from ShopRite's & Costco's rotisseries!!!!! So fresh and seasoned very well!

An employee threatened to fight a customer! My mother recently went to stop and shop to do some grocery shopping and one of the customer service personnel, Katie, took her rain checks because she didn't want to give her the items on them. When she asked for them back she was given the only rude response back from someone who is meant to be the face of the front end. She ignored it and went to the grocery manager, James, who responded with a "I'm not dealing with this right now". During her check out the customer service personnel continued to talk to her like she was beneath her and when my mother AND the person with her told her to watch how she talks to someone she threatened her with a fight. Katie not only threatened her with a fight, but she had another cashier join in and put up her hair like she was getting ready. This alone is highly unprofessional. I was even told by other employees that Katie was held back so as not to assault my mother. They then called the cops on my mom after she started yelling at them for treating her so poorly. I have people working this shift coming to me and telling me all the problems that arose that shift and how the employee was 110% in the wrong, but the managers banned the customer so she could keep her job because they need the help. I have gotten threatened by customers calling me a bitch and saying they would come after me while working for this company and rather than banning that customer they would lock me up in the break room to avoid them, but in order to keep this woman they banned a loyal customer who never had an issue with this store and is even quite liked by the employees. We contacted customer service who informed her she wasn't really banned, so that was something the managers made up to keep her out of the store but she refuses to shop there unless something is done about the employees that threatened her. I messaged Katie to find out why she did what she did and she immediately threatened both my mother and myself by saying she'll "take us off the map" and if you're unaware of the meaning behind that it literally means she'll kill us. I then messaged a corporate employee about what happened and she basically said corporate was doing nothing about this and it was out of their hands. This employee is still working for the company and she still has a position of power, her cashier friend who is also still working for the company is showing a video of my mother to other employees and laughing about it. Everything about this is unprofessional including the corporate level responses. This isn't the first time an employee threatened a customer with a fight and nothing was done about the employee's actions. Don't support this company. ShopRite is cheaper and the service is much better.I included the text messages for you all to view them, as well.

The staff does not care about anything especially you.If it is in a box or a can you are probably okay. Do not buy their prepared food, meat or fish products. The people who work there don't give a fig about the food or safety and that can make you sick.Buy bulky necessities which are factory packaged and get out as fast as you can.

This is literally the WORST grocery store EVER!No one around to help, customer service desk is a waste of time, as they have no answers, and the deli people are SUPER disgruntled and rude..How can you never have any rotisserie anything, and all the chicken anything is bare? What do you do all day...Everyone sees y'all smokin in the back, masking it with the minimal fried chicken you make. Also, fresh produce!? Where is it?! SERIOUSLY!Magmt, is awful, answers and ALWAYS finger pointing. No clue as to what's going on in the store...How do you refer to your employees for answers about YOUR store?!!Hmmmm???!

Great place for Seniors to get threatened! 14 minutes ago-EditAlthough I have shopped here for years, I had an UNBELIEVABLE moment tonight. I want to speak to the manager as I plan to file legal action. I was physically threatened by one of your employees in the store! He put up his fists to fight me! He was about 30, I am 62 and handicapped. I was SHOCKED and legal measures are already clicking. I need to contact that manager IMMEDIATELY and letters are already being sent to corporate. I was in dreadful fear of being punched IN THE STORE! I am sure there are witnesses, I have one, so if you don't have video it won't matter, but if you do, well game over. How can you employ a person who physically threatens your customers and verbally abuses them and makes fun of them. THIS IS NOT THE END OF THIS! Follow up...I went there to see the manager, but he was busy so I did get his name and email. But my lawyer says Stop and Shop Corporate will handle this from here with my lawyers. The guy who "put up his dukes" inside the store of course denies it. It will be on store camera or mine. He's done as this will also go to the Dobbs Ferry police. This is as disgraceful as this community can be capable of. Ask "Chris" about trying to fist fight a senior citizen. YOU decide if that "fists in your face" and screaming into mine WITHOUT A MASK!! YOU decide if you want to shop in that environment. Tell me all the store cameras were out that night. My iphone was NOT. Game set and match! My hidden iPhone below.

So I was just in this Stop and Shop. Everything was great for the most part. The reason for my visit is because Peapod who I typically get food delivery from, now has no open slots for delivery times due to the coronavirus outbreak. The world all of a sudden wants Peapod!! OK, no problem. So I walked to the next town on this beautiful day. I needed chicken. The chicken shelf was stocked to the hills. You could feed an army with the amount and types of chicken selection I saw there. So I grabbed 13 chicken breast packages. Why did I grab so many? Because I always shop like that. Coronavirus or no coronavirus I buy at least 10 packages at a time. I am a chicken eater. So I am keeping to my regular habits unlike the rest of the world who I think all of a sudden wants chicken.Upon checkout, gal was so nice. I told her I have a stop and shop card but haven't used it for a while and don't know where it is. She pointed out how the chicken was on sale and she helped me get the discount since I didn't have card at hand! Wow...so nice! I did notice though she scanned one of my other items twice by mistake. She told me to go to customer service to fix the error. No problem. So I went to customer service for this small refund and lady looked at me with crossed eyebrows and flared nostrils. OK, now what? She said there is a limit on the quantity of chicken someone is allowed to buy. I told her I didn't know that especially since there is so much chicken back there and shouldn't there be a sign stating as such if that were the case? She said there should be. I love how the world gets mad at me when it's not my fault. I told her, I am just happy to be here and you don't have to refund me anything if you don't want. I appreciate your store just being around during this time, I said to her. I got my small refund and she thereafter notified cashier to limit quantity of chicken. Anyway,...tell the cashier the rules of the store!...or the butchers to put up signs for customers!. Don't blame me! This is besides the fact that I don't really think there is a chicken problem anymore. Paper aisle is still empty though. There is plenty of fresh food around there, fruits and vegetables looked gorgeous and the prices aren't bad either. I got value packs too! Don't know why store is getting such bad reviews. Other than my customer service experience, this store met my needs during this crazy time... They even have early hours for senior citizens specifically. They even have sanitary wipes to clean your hands and cart handle upon entry and overall the store seems clean. It's my go to especially now when Peapod can't deliver to me or when I'm in Dobbs Ferry.

Expired items on shelves, rude people at customer service, no one seems to know where items are if you ask. Dairy is left out In boxes instead of being shelved and goes bad the next day if you decide to take the risk and buy it. Don't get me started on the produce, the bags of salad are actually brown, probably also because they were laying around in boxes waiting to be shelved. Forget about trying to return bad merchandise they will give you and attitude.

This stop & shop is ridiculous. I go there to purchase items that are on sale and half the time when they ring up the item it ends up not ringing up on sale and I realize when I go home and analyze my receipt. Now I have to analyze my receipt before I leave to save the trip back to stop & shop. Also, the people who work there are not intelligent. This is the second time I've purchased cheese from the deli that is on sale and they give me non sale cheese so I end up paying full price. It's too much of an inconvenience to keep going back to the supermarket more than one a week for their stupidity. If I purchase something on sale it should always ring up on sale. I feel like they keep scamming me. Also, if I ask for land o lakes American cheese, I should not end up with boards head low sodium low fat cheese.
