I recently took my 10 year old daughter to Ulta (Dobbs Ferry) for a haircut, and we had the pleasure of being served by Karina. I can’t express enough how impressed we were with the entire experience.
From the moment we walked in, Karina was incredibly welcoming and professional. She listened attentively to what my daughter wanted and offered valuable suggestions to enhance the style. The haircut itself was flawless—precise, stylish, and exactly what we envisioned.
But what truly set Karina apart was her exceptional skill in blow-drying. My daughter’s hair looked stunning, with a smooth and polished finish that lasted for days. She was beaming with confidence when we left the salon.

Such a poorly run store. So many people in ulta shirts yet no one seems to be helping anyone, except the one single person running the register with a long line. Would rather buy online and wait for shipping. Would be faster

I’ve been to this location many times and have had no issues at all! I went in earlier today to ask for a travel size of a new perfume. The woman seemed extremely bothered to this simple question and said they don’t have it in stock. I asked when it would be back in store to which she replied “idk like soon”. I asked about how long soon is to which she angrily replied i don’t know then literally walked away! I then mentioned i had another question about the ongoing sale and it seemed as though she had zero clue about it. She didn’t even try to help or find someone who knew so i took it upon myself to ask someone else. This employee was so rude and so unhelpful!!!

Today, a girl named Trina helped me. She actually asked what I wanted, and then recommended me a better product, and just gave me the time of day and taught me a little something. This is how people should be, everything would be so much smoother and effortless in life.

This review is for Maria in the Hair Salon. Maria is an amazing stylist for color, highlight, cut and style. Appreciate how Maria takes the time to assess what’s most flattering - I would say she’s a bit of a perfectionist. The products she uses are equally as great and her product recommendations keep this woman’s 60+ hair looking super healthy and vibrant. My hair hasn’t looked this good in a very long time. So glad I took a chance on scheduling an appt at Ulta with Maria. Another big plus is flexibility of hours and days. I highly recommend Maria at Ulta Dobbs Ferry. You will not be disappointed.

Annmarie took the time to help my sister pick out a lipstick for a wedding she has this week. She was very helpful and encouraging when suggesting a bold color lipstick that my sister was not used to. My sister asked to try another one and we agreed the first option Annmarie suggested was the best. She made my sister feel confident and purchased the bold color lipstick. Thank you for your help Annmarie, what a great experience this was!!

what a delightful experience! so much better than the portchester location with their rude and nasty employees. I was greeted by a very polite young lady behind the register and helped with color matching by the manager Sabrina. she was very knowledgeable and helped me decide between 2 foundations. she was sweet, kind, everything a manager should be in the beauty retail industry. 5 stars! stay away from Port Chester, come to Dobbs Ferry!

I went into Ulta today and was greeted by Hallah in such a warm, welcoming way. I had a specific shade of lipstick I was looking for and she advised Annmarie that I needed assistance. They didn't just point me in the direction of the products, Annmarie showed me an exact match at the Clinique counter. I also ended up buying Clinique's High Impact Mascara and Eyeliner. It was so wonderful to receive such great service from knowledgeable, smart women. They took the time to really explain and demonstrate the products. I love shopping for makeup and new products. Who doesn't? It's fun and makes you feel good...it's the little things in life that make a difference! A+ ladies...you were fantastic!

I was at the store recently looking for the best concealer for me and the girl at the counter, Samantha was so helpful and friendly!! I almost bought the wrong shade but she advised me on getting different one and it actually works so well for me! I love it! I had such a great experience at this Ulta thanks to her. To summarize my experience here just 2 days ago: My mom is a black woman and she reported that she was being followed around the store while I was shopping in another section. Was with her at the Clinique section for a couple of minutes and both of us were being bothered by an associate who seemed to also be hovering behind us uncomfortably. This didn't happen to me when I was by myself in another aisle, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was doing her job. However, it just did not feel comfortable at all. This was followed by a man (who I found out AFTER that this was the security guard) standing directly behind us with a negative look on his face. Confronted him about how close he was and didn't even move right away, had no idea this was the security guard at that time because he didn't disclose that. Reported it to the front store associate who was really apologetic and said that was security after I pointed out the man who made us uncomfortable. I also wrote Ulta an email after seeing that this store has a lot of reviews saying other people of color were also followed. No reason for us to be followed like that, we were looking at products like every other customer in the store. Really poor behavior from this Ulta and needs to change ASAP.
