We've had Joey and his guys at our house twice, and are about to have them back a third time because they are so excellent. The first time we had them over was then we had our roof replaced. They came on and did the blown in insulation in the cckloft, what a major difference it has made over the past few years, wow. Plus they were clean, efficient and really nice. They also use a product that is low VOC and eco friendly. Then we had them come back and insulate for sound the ceiling between our bedroom and the apartment above in our house, plus the back wall which was always a huge draft space. It has made a big difference. The bedroom is so much warmer and quieter now, amazing. Now we had the woodwork around outer front doors restored and so,e electrival work done, there are some small holes where we want Joey to come and look and see if they can seal that space up. We love Joey, his guys, their work and the products they use. We really cannot say enough about them. I promise you will be happy with the outcome if you use them.

Joey and his guys came to install loosefill insulation in the attic of my flat roof brownstone in Bed Stuy. They also installed two vents and Joey helped me with some Radiator issues I was having too. They did an efficient and great job, getting here on time and taking about 3 hours to complete. Cleaned up, were pleasant and Joey comes across as very knowledgable and experienced. My home immediately started holding heat better, there was a 3-4 degree temperature difference within a few hours. So far so good. Thanks guys!

Used Federal Conservation in 1990 under a Brooklyn Union Gas program that gave interest free loans for insulating your home. I'd love to give them more stars, but I have to take them away due to some very memorable problems related to the insulation job they did for me. First the good. On the sides of the house, they did an excellent job of carefully removing my old asbestos shingles, cutting circular openings to fill the walls with blow-in insulation, then plugged them up and put back the shingles like they were never there. When they did the attic, they left me an access panel, per my request, so I could get up there with a ladder for any future repair needs after the job was done. Their work was efficient and clean. So what reason do I have to take way stars? Well... read the rest. Remember the access panel? After they finished the work and were paid, I went up and checked the attic. Instead of 10-12 inches of insulation, I found only 4-5 inches. As I recall, the inspector from Brooklyn Union loan program did reduce their payment due inadequate attic insulation (which is probably why I checked myself), but I was still left with less insulation than promised. Also one more event led to reduced stars. Just after he was paid, the owner pointed out in front of me and his crew that one of my downspouts was the original 100 year-old copper downspout, repeatedly expressing amazement that no one had stolen it. That same night, the copper downspout was ripped out, doing a few hundred dollars of damage to the wooden gutters above. It is impossible to know who took the copper downspout, but it is reasonable to conclude that the company's owner showed poor judgement in pointing out to others an expensive copper downspout and announcing how easy it would be to steal. Again, I mentioned their strengths in the first paragraph and everything may go much better for you, but given the outcome for me, I can only give one star.
