Buyer beware. If you shop at this tops make sure that you check the products that you are buying. There have been several occasions where products that I have bought had mold growing on them. Make sure you check the expiration dates on any products you buy here. I've brought this to employees attention and they do little about it. And if you try and bring a product back they only want to let you exchange it. With what? Another moldy product? No thanks. Groceries are expensive everywhere but I recommend going somewhere else where you are atleast getting good products and employees that care even a little bit unlike this store. Don't shop here.

Tops in Derby, NY
Store is fine. This is regarding their entrance / exit area by the parking lot. Just exited store to head to the parking lot. My full cart tipped forward. Looking afterwards, they patched an area making it uneven so cart catches on the lip. Luckily my 2 glass jars didn’t break and other stuff was fine. This needs to be fixed before someone loses a cart full of groceries. Whoever did this patch job didn’t think this out and make sure it was flush with the rest.

You can’t put a paper bag on the self checkout or it yells at you for an unscanned item, so you have to scan everything and then bag it after you pay instead of bagging while you scan. Huge inconvenience.

Got breakfast pizza today and it was all cheese. Lite egg and I think there was supposed to be bacon on it. Angola Tops does a way better

Dim lighting at night, no cashiers, bagging my groceries. What's next? Will I have to clean the restrooms in addition to everything else I must do. I particularly enjoyed watching three employees shooting the breeze watching me struggle to cash myself out at the automated checkout.
How about you turn up lights so I can read high price labels and save money by not have three employees hanging out doing nothing the 45 min I was there. Or better yet, take one of the slackers, open a cash register and make me feel like a valued customer.

This store stinks like old people diapers. It’s hard to shop the stench it’s so bad. I’m concerned that the quality of there produce and/or meat. Idk were the smell is coming from but I have been multiple times and it always smells awful. I’m concerned they might not be washing or cleaning regularly. Be advised. We will not be shopping here any longer. Smaller tops up the road runs a much cleaner ship

Everything is always fresh and there is a large variety of choices. If you catch sales not too bad, but overall to expensive this day and age to shop there completely for all groceries and home supplies.

I ordered premade meals. NEVER WAS ASKED IF I WANTED A REPLACEMENT FOR ANYTHING! ? I only got a refund. A grieving family never got a full meal. The MAIN DISH WAS MISSING. And a child manager took NO ownership. Deferred and deflected to the Instacart employee. Apparently, no one is responsible.

I never know which I'm actually commenting about... My script wasn't ready in "half an hour" (which is what I was told over the phone), nor anything close to 30 minutes... I was told upon arrival that they hadn't finished yet but that they were, asking for just 20 more minutes, "yeah of course," as would be my natural response.. . This wasn't where the issue lie.. So while I spent my time reorganizing a messy sweater rack, browsing Christmas sale items and learning oh so much about the world of retail... I watched the loss prevention team, asset protection (whatever they call it there), over an unfounded claim from 10-15 years ago... that caused my banishment from the only local food store ... for the rest of my life?!I appreciate tops pharmacy, and in general the store employees and managers. It's frustrating to see people whine about moving forward, from the past versus remaining stuck in (what is almost always) their negative past..I think I deserve amother chance considering the thousands of dollars I've spent at that specific location, alone.
