Stopped in Saturday Lloyd gave me some info, no pressure to buy anything. Caught five bass in an hour where he said to go. Gentleman knows his stuff and awesome to see the owner there giving out information as opposed to someone that is not familiar with the area..Thanks alot. Will be back soon..

Stop looking for a good sportsman’s shop, you just found it. Hornbeck’s is on the forefront of new hunting and fishing gear. They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but right when I pulled up to this place I knew it was a quality establishment. Right when I walked in, I was greeted with a fresh smell, which is rare for a tackle shop. Starting with the back of the shop, you’ll find a counter full of various ammo. They also have a lot of deer and hunting scents. They must be new as I haven’t heard of many of the brands. When you head to the middle of the shop you’ll find live bait. There is a fridge stocked with fresh nightcrawlers. These worms must be fresh as I slammed bass on them all day. The shiners are in nice clean tanks, but be warned, you need your own bucket. That being said, hornbeck’s has you covered. They have small plastic buckets for the modest price of $5.99. They also have the best and newest lures and tackle. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask the owner. He will give you some good local advice in a clear and concise way. Across from the main counter they have a room full of taxidermy. Look for the otter, it’s the most realistic taxidermy I’ve ever seen. Finally, at the counter to the right of the register, they have some really nice sunglasses. Make sure to check them out. Speaking of the register, they also accept Apple Pay and credit cards. Overall, it’s a great little shop. Clean, organized and one of the best locals that will point you in the right direction.
