“Had to be towed due to tire getting shredded on the highway just east of Hancock. Was given the run around by insurance for hours despite them knowing we had three kids in the car with us. Luckily we found Don Oralls Garage and the owner, George, picked up the phone even though they were listed as closed. Almost everyone else was closed or didn't have the tire we needed. He was so helpful and was able to (for a fee) arrange to get the tire earlier the next day while everyone else just said they didn't have it and couldn't get it. He even gave a hotel suggestion when it became obvious that we would have to spend the night. My family and I are so grateful for his kindness, communication and expertise. I'd also like to mention Pat, who provided the eventual tow, was kind and efficient, and even dropped me at the hotel on the way to the garage. I hope no one else gets stranded on the side of the highway for hours like we did, but if you're anywhere close to Hancock, NY, absolutely call Don Oralls Garage.
