idiots screwed up the scheduling 3 times. on 2/8, I scheduled installation for 2/28. on 2/19 , I was called asking why I didn't show up for my appointment that morning. I explained that it was scheduled fir 2/28. begged them to confirm 2/28. confirmed, showed up this morning 2/28 and was informed I am scheduled fir install tomorrow 2/29.how can I honestly let them take apart my car and trust them putting back together when they can't even schedule the date right.calling other places to get a hitch installed.

Pick-up and drop-off experience for the truck was easy and no hassle. Also got the moving bins pick-up and return for those was easy as well.

Had hitch installed last year. Smashed up a bunch of wires on my utility trailer because they were not fastened and got stuck between car jack and the driveway. Completely my fault.This caused a blown inline fuse, and also later we found out it shorted out my brake controller. Elaine had it all fixed, and brake controller replaced, free of charge- even though it had been due to my error.If you have an issue, they take care of it, no questions asked.

I wanted to buy an appliance dolly for $79.99. when I asked about the dolly, one of the employees just sat at a desk playing on their personal phone. When the other employee was done with a customer and helped me, the second one got up and followed us around while still playing on their phone. I should get a job here. I could play games while getting paid. I was told they only have floor model Dolly's and nothing new in the box. Aside from that, I rented a U-Haul truck two days ago and was told there was a dolly in the truck. When I got to my destination, there was no dolly in the truck. This caused me to be late returning the truck. Hopefully I didn't get charged extra because of employee error. They have time to sit around doing nothing instead of making sure the trucks are stocked properly for the company to make more money.

Don’t go to this location if you need a hitch installation. Most of the staff there act like they don’t care or don’t want to work. They will say yes to the installation, you make the appointment and when the day comes they give some excuse on why they can’t install it… Like somebody else said in the reviews don’t be in the hitch business if you avoid installs that require work.

If your hitch installation includes removal of your exhaust, expect to be lied to about why they cant do it. My vehicle was not lifted and the excuse was nonsense. I know exactly what the underside of my car looks like. Dont be in the hitch business if you avoid installs that require work.

I would not recommend the Depew NY location for a hitch install, the customer service is terrible here I made a reservation 2 weeks ago to have a hitch installed on my car I get to the location only to find out that they don't have the part I needed for my car and when I mentioned to the employee that I had not be notified ahead of time after driving a half in hour all he can do is ignore me and stare off into space not even give me eye contact I felt like this was very rude considering I just drove a long distance to get a service that I couldn't even get performed this was very unprofessional and I would never do business with this location again

Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a hitch added with a carrier. The technician stepped me through how to use and remove if needed, also tips on keeping my cargo safe. Highly recommend.

Very nice and friendly. Haven't rented a truck in yrs. But I soon will need one come end of July. The woman helped me out. She was very easy to speak with. She answered all my questions and concerns. She made it easier on me to reserve for 24hrs. Which is exactly what I neededIt didnt cost me anything to reserve. I am very pleased with the service and care I recieved and I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to move.

We've rented from this location 3 times. The first was April of this year when we reserved a trailer. Of all the options online for extras that once was it mentioned that we needed a light connector so of course we show up to pick up the trailer and conveniently they sell them. Obviously bought one because you wanted to use the trailer. Later in April we rented a truck and a month or so later we rented another trailer at which time we'll used the connector they sold us the first time. We were absolutely satisfied with the service we received in the past. Fast forward to yesterday we again reserve 2 trailer and went to go pick it up and wouldn't you know the connector they sold us didn't work on one side. The person working there how's my husband check the car and said it was definitely the connector but they didn't have any in stock. My husband returned this morning to speak to the owner and she said they don't warranty anything. She also proceeded to tell him that these things don't break which is a load of crap. We've been good customers and it's such a shame to lose us because you sold as junk and won't replace it. Be wary of renting here. I know we won't be going back and I feel bad for all those other people that they are sold connectors to you who are going to be out of luck when theirs fail.

Avoid this place at all cost. First, I wait for over 30 minutes to pick up my truck (I was first in line), which I booked online and paid for. Then after finally I finally get someone to assist me, I'm told the online system is down and I have to rebook the truck again and pay for it again with the same credit card. Of course I did t bring the exact credit card with me, I had to pay for a Uber ride 25 back home. This after all I was told everything had been done online and all I had to do was pick up the truck keys. I will never use this place again.

We visited this Uhaul location to get a trailer hitch installed. The gentleman who was supposed to install our hitch kept our car for two hours, then called and informed us that he could not install the hitch because our muffler was loose. I asked if he was a certified mechanic and he stated that he was not. I told him to please install the hitch and that we would take the car to a mechanic to look at the muffler. He refused and said that we needed to get the muffler fixed first. I asked if he had any appointments for the upcoming two days, because we already had an appointment to get our car checked by a mechanic the following day. He informed us that their earliest appointment was a week later. This meant that we had to completely alter our moving plans and push our dates back an entire week. We took the car to a mechanic the following day and were told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the muffler. I called Uhaul and asked if there was anything they could do for us, considering our moving plans were derailed because of a poor judgement call made by their employee for no reason at all. I was told that the only thing they could do was provide a $50 VIP certificate. The trailer hitch installation was ~$500. The VIP certificate that I was issued did not work at any Uhaul location that we later visited and we have still yet to be apply to use it for anything (i.e. cost of trailer, cost of storage, etc.) This was by no means the only issue we had with Uhaul during our cross-country move, just the major one to occur at this specific location. Additionally, we never received a single apology from anyone at this Uhaul location and received very poor service both of the times we visited the location. Employees were very unhelpful and we waited for ~30 minutes before even being helped the second time we visited the location. Very disappointing for a service that is so costly from a company as longstanding as Uhaul.

UHaul has the worst customer service... I reserved a Trailer over the phone and told the kid what my Truck was and when I arrived the Manager told me I couldn't use my Colorado.... So I said I'd get my F150 and He said not to bother they were closing soon... I said it wasn't my fault and I could get back before they closed and he said he didn't care if I came back right away because he was going to let some other guy take the trailer... I called the 800# to complain and Todd banned me for complaining and making a scene...... I told him I was a disabled Veteran and he said he didn't care...
