This place has become an embarrassing unsightly dump. Being a Veteran I loved shopping at this location, but man has this particular location especially gone to junk store status. The back wall is nothing but broken Nick nacks & empty boxes. Looks like stuff is just dumped on the shelves. It appears the only employees visible are the cashiers and maybe some dudes hanging out in the back, no one is ever cleaning or straightening up the stock, nobody ever on the floor. The Management if there is any take absolutely no pride in the appearance of this store. Considering it wants to be associated with Veterans, no former military personnel would keep anything as unsatisfactory as this store. I’ve been to other Amvets locations and this by far is the worst of the bunch. Rochester is especially miles ahead, maybe the employees from Walden Ave should take a road trip there!!! Basically Walden Ave is a joke.

Called the store and asked if they had a section specifically for maternity clothes, the guy I spoke to said yes. Drove there and couldn't find it. Asked an employee if she worked there, she sighed and rolled her eyes at me. I asked where the maternity section was and she told me it was all mixed in with the women's clothes while not even looking in my direction. Wasted my gas just to be treated poorly for asking a question. I've been donating stuff here for decades but I'll find a different thrift store.

Store never opens on time. Usually 20-30 minutes late. Very aggravating.

I always find something good at AmVets! It's definitely worth popping in and looking around. The prices are unbeatable too!

I love stopping here. Although the time is 5:48 and they already locked there doors. I guess stating your closing at 6 doesn't matter. If your going to close early at least put it on Google so I'm not driving here to a place that says there open and instead there closed. Awesome thanks for wasting my time and my gas!

I really do love this store because they’ve always had such a large selection, however just like many other thrift stores they are hiking their prices up. It’s really such a shame that you can’t catch a break anywhere anymore, not even the thrift store, when everything in the store was a donation…$150 for one worn out stained recliner smh
