Local banks with personal relationships seems to fading away these days. Trustco has been my local bank since the Home and City days. There's something about walking into a branch and the staff and manager know me by name (although they still ask for ID which I appreciate).
The Delmar branch is very fortunate to have Jason at the helm. Great guy. Great service. Great manager.
Many thanks,
Tom Pep

This truly is your hometown bank. The branch manager, Mr J. Vann, is fantastic! Thank you Trustco!

Trustco Bank has infuriated me!!! #1. They did not notify me that my debit card was due to expire.2. The branch manager at the Delmar branch said a new card had been mailed in September but I never received it. (Post office said it was probably damaged and unable to go through their machines)3. I requested a new card with the same number and waited 2 weeks to get it, because no one told me about the expedited process, activated it immediately, and just today was told that it had been deactivated because the previously mailed one was returned to the bank! Why didn’t the bank notify me instead of just deactivating it???I have had it with the lack of help from customer service!!!

Great old style brick and mortar bank. They hold our mortgage and we have generally been happy with Trustco. Notary Public is available as is an ATM and drive-thru.

An employee at this location refused to accept my US passport as a form of ID saying that he needs an official government document. Taking my money elsewhere.Following the suggestion of the bank representative below, I called Trustco customer service. They could not help me and re-directed me to Trustco administration. I was not able to reach a live person at Trustco administration and they did not return my calls. Terrible customer service. Avoid these guys.

Worst bank I've ever worked with. I applied for a business line of credit, they called and asked me if I'd like a higher limit, then ignored me for a month only to tell me they can't help me due to the amount of the request. During that month I made multiple attempts to get answers. At one point I called their customer service line listed on my reps email, and the person who answered refused to look into my application. This is the most unprofessional, disorganized, and misleading company I've ever worked with. Stay away.

If there was a 10 star rating I would rate Trustco 10 stars because today I went there to open up a checking account and my experience there was great. Jason helped me out to open my checking account. He was super nice and explained all the information I needed to know about my account. Within 5 minutes I was all set and had my check book in my hand. Keep up the good work Jason!

Went to the bank on 1/5/19 for an explanation of my Home Equity Credit Line recent bill. Talked to a young woman who is either a Bank Manager or Assistant Manager (I don't know which position she holds.) These monthly bills are complicated. I wanted her to help me with figuring out my payments vis a vis my statement credits. She was very bothered by my request. I had to answer all my own questions. She lent me a calculator, offered almost no help, dismissed my suggestions that the bank make the monthly form and deposit slip a little more customer friendly, etc. This manager made me feel I was imposing on her time (though she had no other customers and was doing nothing when I arrived). Worst bank in Delmar!

I went to the drive through and asked a short, skinny man to deposit my paycheck as cash so I could pay my daughter's daycare. He told me yes and when I looked on my app after, it was there ( no pending). The next day, I took a friend and their kids out to breakfast. I was declined!!!! I was so embarrassed! I looked up my account and I was -$180!!!! What happened to my money. I called the Delmar branch and the teller didn't understand and was no help. I wait five minutes on hold to talk to a manager, a woman. She told me she couldn't help me because they were closing in 30 minutes. I was heated!! And I don't get mad. I didn't get my money till Tuesday!!!!! Do not go to this bank!!!!!!
