“I started going to Metabolic 5 months ago and I am absolutely in love! I never really worked out before, but as my 40th birthday was approaching I felt challenged to do something different. Plus the coaches are wonderful- they make sure that every class is a challenge, but they’re also careful to ensure that your form is right and you’re not lifting too much so you don’t injure yourself. “I love the Orangetheory Fitness (OTF) location in Albany. I've been going to this gym for 6 months, and it has been a really good experience. I especially love the coaches Ryan and Ariyana (I have mostly trained with them). The coaches are very considerate and helpful. I appreciate the helpful tips and tricks they share to make the exercises easier. I also like how they demonstrate alternative exercises when one of the exercises is tough or not feasible for me. I would definitely recommend OTF at this location.”

There are a million positive things I can say, however what stands out the most is this: when the world shut down, when everyone was stuck at home, when small business were failing, John Hogan (Spur owner) didn’t shut down. He locked his doors like he was suppose to, he wasn’t making money, like everyone else. BUT he didn’t give up on his membership. He was still creating workouts for his membership, communicating with them, and LOANING the equipment to people who didn’t have any. He isn’t just a business owner, he is a community man, and a leader.”

“Orangetheory was the best thing I did to get back into my gym groove. All of the classes are coached by great coaches with amazing attitudes and energies that make it your workout. The only con would be the monthly membership price (this is now disclosed on Orangetheory’s website).”

622 Loudon Rd, Latham“I cannot say enough good things about Nora, Kristen, Amanda, Mary and the rest of the staff at Her Strength. I started going to Her Strength last year when I was about 25 weeks pregnant and had recently suffered an intercostal muscle strain. Nora curated a program that aided in my recovery and helped prepare me for the birth of my second child. During a postpartum recovery class she held my 2 month old so he wouldn't fuss while she walked me through pelvic floor exercises and other movements that greatly assisted in my postpartum recovery (I no longer pee when I sneeze). The new programing that began in January has been excellent and allows for one-on-one coaching and customized workouts. In sum, Her Strength is a wonderful gym community. Highly Recommend.”

We're all at different fitness levels, and he plans our sessions with each one of us in mind. He thoughtfully plans so everyone is accommodated in a way that brings maximum benefit for all and meets each of us where we're at. He's encouraging without coddling. I'm accomplishing things I had no idea I could do! Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend.”
“This gym is an amazing hidden gem in downtown Albany. Bryan, the trainer who runs it, is friendly and knowledgeable and has mentored me for over a decade now. You can workout solo or utilize Bryan or one of the other trainers. The place has a great feel, friendly people, flexible hours, plenty of space and equipment, fitness classes, and a convenient locker room with showers... everything I need. Somehow it stays very reasonably priced and is never too busy. My workouts there are the highpoints of my day. Can't recommend the place enough. With all the fitness centers that have come and gone, I'm glad this one has stayed around.”

The attitude of the staff alone (Tommy and Michael) are the reasons we signed up for the premium membership. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and offered a tour, which we took full advantage of. Tommy let us work out and get a feel for the gym (even though his initial approach was enough for us to already want to join). This is unequivocally the best first experience at any health or fitness facility that we have ever been to.”
“I can't say enough. I was able to lose 107 lbs in 4.5 months with their guidance in training and nutrition. I have been to a bunch of gyms without anything close to these results. It does take hard work and discipline, but the outcome is crazy. Give it a shot. I'm there in the mornings working out week days. I can tell you exactly what I did.”
