The man working passport office is dim witted, arrogant, rude, and should be fired. We went to get my wife’s passport during walk in hours some weeks ago. Walk in hours are 9-10. We show up at 9am. He says come back at 930. When we return he’s sitting on his phone will his feet up. Lazy. Note that appointment hours start at 10. My wife had a name change and legal documentation to prove it. The passport form says that it must be signed in front of the passport agent. He didn’t ask for a signature. And he said we need an ID with her current name and doesn’t know if the passport would be issues. Three weeks later we come back today during walk in hours, and he was looking for every excuse not to process our request. He says come back after 10. Guess what he was doing? He had his feet up and was browsing his phone. This guy doesn’t want to work. He’s miserable and makes people around him miserable. We went to west Babylon. And learned if you have a name change your ID doesn’t need to be updated because the court document proves the name is updated.

The guy who was working in passport office on 7/22/24 was rude and he was nit helpful at all. He shoukdn’t be there. passport office is all the way in the back of the building. There are no signs that indicated where the office is. There are trucks and postal vehicles in the back and you won’t even know it’s an office there. It took me a 15 mins to figure it out it was there. It’s hazardous to walk in the back with kids.

My husband and I had an appointment to get passports . We had all the paperwork done except I had no birth certificate except for raised letter naturalization papers which can be used instead . The clerk (Ross) basically threw the papers back to me and said this is no good and gave an attitude like we were wasting his time . My husband told him why you so nasty and arrogant towards my wife . We just walked out and we will go to the Babylon post office instead . Looked at the reviews and notice all 22 reviews were about Ross . Why does this guy still work there .

I don't think the problem is with the Post Office workers. I think the problem is with the customers who flock to this location overwhelming the staff. Especially those who go there for things other than mailing a package/letters or getting money orders. There are plenty of other avenues to buy stamps, get passports than waste the time of these fine people. We need this location for important tasks instead. Those who want passports can go to public libraries, other government offices as well. Do some critical thinking for once and improvise.

I messed up a shipping order and had a long line behind me, Terry helped me out with all 4 orders without an attitude, was very quick, easy process and was uplifting, whatever Terry is getting paid, he needs a raise on top.

Overall he seemed like he did not want to be there and I annoyed him by walking in.
I wanted to apply for a new passport, I had my old expired one with me, and he said I needed my birth certificate. Went to another location that told me I DIDN'T need that.
So he wasted my time and gave me an attitude on top of it for what reasoning?

We already had an appointment to renew my son's passport the following week. However, as we are going on a trip in the near future, we were in fear that even with expediting the passport, it won't get here on time. So I tried to get in to the passport office perhaps couple of days earlier. When I called the passport office on Monday, a nice woman told me to try on Wednesday as there was nothing available on that Monday or Tuesday. That the woman who was in charge of passports was on vacation that week, things were a bit crazy. When I called on Wednesday, a man answered, his name was Russ. From the start he was combative. Arguing and discrediting everything that was told to me by a his colleague on Monday. He continued to say that HE is in charge of the Passport Dept, the woman I spoke of, ONLY covered his lunches. At that point, I was so disgusted, I just wanted to get off the phone. I will keep my appointment next week. Hoping, and praying that I do not get him to assist me. It is so sad that people like this works in a place where SERVICE is key! He seems to be to unhappy with his own self and taking it out on customers and colleagues alike.

The manager (man) has to be the nastiest man I met . I took a package there not knowing I had to bring it to North Babylon . He acted like he was doing me a favor and charges me over $100 on my credit card when I paid for it already. Instead of telling me . Get a life and explain before you charge me . I will never step foot in that post office again till he is fired !!!
