The treatment here is so deplorable that I should have sought advice from an attorney and called the police. I was new to the neighborhood and brought my cat in for an annual exam. I had my cat's records forwarded to them from our last vet who was too far away. The older male doctor I saw immediately started insulting me and my cat saying that he needs to be brushed (he was shedding terribly from anxiety) and clearly I didn't take care of him. (He had been to the groomer the week before, the cat is and always was pampered). I brushed it off as general nastiness that didn't matter as I had him professionally groomed regardless. The hostile vet began to examine my cat and I went to hold my cat still so he wouldn't jump off the table. I had worked at an animal hospital for about a decade, paying my way through college and graduate school so I knew the technique. Mr. Malignant Narcissist Vet, pushed me across the room while screaming "never touch an animal while I'm examining it!" I was so shocked I had an immediate flight/ freeze reaction and stood shaking in the corner of the room. I don't remember much after that. A few months later I got a postcard that my cat was due for vaccines. I called the hospital and asked if there were other vets I could see as I had a bad experience with the one I saw and wasn't comfortable seeing him again. The staff put me on hold and told me they would send me my records and that they wouldn't see me again. I GUESS ASKING NOT TO BE ABUSED AND NOT TO HAVE MY PET ABUSED WAS TOO MUCH. Had I known the neighborhood, not been in a freeze response, and known where the nearest precinct I would have called the police as the vet actually physically assaulted me. DISGUSTING! Edit - Funny you have nothing listed under my last name. It's an initial in yelp. So for clarification you have no one listed under the initial D or that starts with the initial D? The absurdity of this is phenomenal. I appreciate that you want to look good to your yelp readers but to look up an account and say you can't find it by the initial actually makes your clinic look more insane than the initial attack I suffered. RETHINK YOUR RESPONSE

My dog is treated very good every time we have went there. It's a little pricey here. Staff treats us good and I'm happy here.

Called to have my cat looked at. This was not an emergency, he hasn’t pooped in a day and his rear is sore because he cries when I touch near it. The receptionist that answered the phon said to “just take him to the emergency vet”. I have been bringing my cat there since he was 5 weeks old and have never had any problems. Even in an emergency with my other cats in the past it was never a problem. I just want to thank you for making sure I find another vet.

I took my 4 year old English Bulldog in to have his nails clipped and a general checkup While in the examination room the Dog's temperature rose to over 104 degrees and the Doctor did nothing They took him into there back room where he died of a heat stroke As heartbroken as our family was and is for the unnecessary death they asked us to pay as we left If you love your pet Please be careful where you bring them for care It's not always about money You can never replace a Good Soul taken from your life

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Camay and the wonderful team at Park Hills. Having to make that final decision is never easy. I took my 13-year-old poodle mix to see Dr. Camay and he was extraordinary. He was thorough with his examination and testing but also practical. He took time to educate me fully on all the medical conditions impacting my dog so I could make a fully informed decision. I was deeply touched by his bedside manner - he showed genuine concern and care for both me and my fur baby. The team was caring and gentle as well. I'm not sure my words do justice to the level of care and respect that we received at Park Hills. Thank you all so so much!

Each doctor is knowledgeable and compassionate. Every non-doctor staff member is kind, professional and patient with all 3 of my pets. I’ve never had trouble getting an appointment when I needed one. They are very accessible

To be transparent I have never written a negative review for anything. Dr. Camay was not involved in my discontent of the office. Dr. Crandell and the front office staff are the focus of this review. I received an unexpected call on a Thursday that the office would not authorize the prescription for my dogs food from Chewy despite having done so for the previous 11 months. I was told I needed to bring the dog in. I explained we were out of town and I would gladly bring the dog in when I returned the following week, but the dog sitter would be out of prescription dog food.I explained I did not know the dog had to be seen for the renewal of food. Had I known,I would have obviously scheduled accordingly. The office refused to extend one bag or one month of the food even if I scheduled an appointment the following week.We were forced to adapt and do our best to find a dog food nonprescription replacement. Our two year old healthy rottie began to vomit and not eat. On my return home on Monday I called the office to speak to the vet. I was told I could not speak to Dr Crandell. I explained my situation and the damage they caused because of their lack of flexibility. They said to bring the dog in because she was sick now. I asked to speak to the vet and was told he was in appointments that he would call me back. I waited three days and the Dr. Crandell Never called me back, despite my three follow up phone calls. If an office and a veterinarian choses to lack flexibility that ultimately caused harm to my two year old dog, over dog food, this would be the last place I would recommend you take your pet.

Before coming here I had read some of the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway being I needed a vet close to home (pup does not like car rides.) After several visits with both dogs I am disappointed not so much in the care but the rude staff encounter when calling to inquire about a recent visit that I had not received the follow up call and it's been almost two weeks! With no warning, I found myself in an argument with a receptionist who's telling me that the doctor left me a voicemail and did not hear back to me. I matter of fact corrected her by letting her know this is not possible because my voicemail is not setup and unable to take messages. I could not believe I had to ask someone representing the front of an establishment to correct her attitude. She pursued to argue with me that I have an attitude and am being rude as I reminded her that I am a customer. This is NOT good customer service. Until today it's been pleasant but this experience changed my opinion and any five star review I would have given otherwise. After spending almost another $300 for what in my opinion was a repeat of the last visit...I do believe I should at least get the results from the testing and pleasant customer service at minimum at these high prices.

When Doctor O’keefe was the head Vet our pets where treated with the best care. We always felt confident with the knowledge she supplied us when our pets would go for their annual check up or if something occurred she was there. Once she retired Doctor Camay took over and things took a turn for the worst. The lack of knowledge and care given by him made us feel like we haven’t been going here for 10+ years. All the money spent, the support and trust given to this Office was not matching up to what we received from Doctor O’keefe. It went down when we took our Cat in and we knew he was getting older and had other medical conditions that affected his health but the stop doing this stop doing that medically gave us the waiting game of when he’ll pass. We should’ve went to another vet then. Dr. Camay was surprised by how long our Cat took to pass away almost 4 months longer than he anticipated. We regret not going to a different vet office for the regret of not letting our family pet pass a little more comfortable rather than the pain he was enduring while we were told it’s a waiting period now. We recently took our Dog to Dr. Camay with a skin issue, we were told by him he doesn’t know what she has, how she should be treated, what the next step should be, being told this we researched other Offices found one in Huntington. Analyzing the reviews we took our dog there they were able to run her blood, examine, and run tests they were so informative, they found the issue with her skin gave her the correct meds and found other medical conditions she has that Dr. Camay did not run tests on. While the new vet received our dogs records from Camay’s office they noticed the lack of tests they didn’t even run on her. For someone who didn’t know what was going on with our dog clearly did not care to look further into her health. I do not recommend coming to him, there are other vets on the north shore who do so much better. I would not trust him and if you do go to him seek a second opinion from somewhere else on the condition of your pet. He does not care and will not put in the effort your family pet deserves.

Horrible rude staff! this place is so unprofessional. I have never left a bad review for anything but this time I feel like I need to warn people! The one time I went there they returned my dog with extra shots and extra work done without discussing anything with me! They charge so much for everything and when I called to ask something the lady tells me how frustrated she is with me! What!? Do yourself and your pet a favor and find a different vet place!
