This is our favorite campground!!! Come multiple times a year. The owners are so helpful, down to earth and fun. Weekends are tons of fun, with tons of family activities. They have a little store on site but there is a Mirabito right down the road. Price Chopper isn't every far either so you can drab things you forgot or replenish what you need. Plenty to do nearby as well if you look it up...

I’m writing this at 11:00 at night, well past the 10:00 quiet time cutoff. The music at the pavilion is so loud and making it impossible to get to sleep! This campground is definitely catered to the seasonal campers. They stay up all night drinking and the more they drink the louder they get! The seasonals don’t pay attention to the rules. Their dogs are never on a leash and run out into the road making it impossible for us to walk our two small dogs. We had a golf cart run our 11 year old daughter off the road down a hill and she flew over her handlebars. The pool is in need of repair and was very dirty. I question the proper chlorine ph as you can’t smell chlorine at all. I was told it was only heated on the weekends so it was very cold during the week. The trex around the edges is so loose that my 5 year old son got his toe caught under the edge. The playground is very dangerous. Our kids came back to our campsite carrying at board with rusted screws sticking out of it that fell of the elevated area. The tube slide has two rusted metal supports- one is not even attached anymore. When we arrived at our site we were unable to hook up at our 50 amp big rig site as the connections are all the way in the back. Needed 50 feet of cord, water hose and sewer hose. Had to scramble and buy the extra needed just so we could get hooked up. The entrance to he campground is very hard to see. You have to make sure you see the flags or you will go right by. Would be nice to be lit up at night. If you are a family with kids or just wanting a nice place to get away- this is definitely not for you. Even some of the seasonal campers have offensive signs on their sites. This is just one big party campground- If this is what you like you will love it. There are definitely some other nice options for a family campground in the Cooperstown area. We checked them out and will go there. Well as I close it’s 11:30 and I think the music has stopped!

I had an event in Upstate New York and booked a motel that seemed sketchy, I had called about Crazy Acres and no cabins were available but they put me on a wait list at the time i called. I get a call telling me a cabin is available, it’s the honeymoon suite and I booked it, I canceled with the motel and planned the rest of my trip. The day of my trip I call to tell them i won’t be in until after 10pm, no worries. Due to traffic and the campground didn’t have lights by the flags of the campground so I drove about a half hour out of my way and I didn’t arrive until after 11. Btw, it’s extremely hilly going up to the mountain, it’s very dark and the deer are the size of moose so I drove 22 mph for 33 miles because it was unfamiliar roads. I get into the cabin and it’s cute, I drop off my stuff and go to the event to unload my car. I get back to the cabin at 3am. I was so tired from the drive and unpacking the car for the event, all i wanted to do was take a shower, btw it was extremely muggy in upstate New York so you can imagine wanting a nice hot shower, I turn on the shower and let it run, I brush my teeth and think ok it should be warm now, ice cold. Ok so i give it another few minutes, still cold. I go to the kitchenette sink and turn that on, let it run for a free minute, meanwhile the shower is full running, I wasted so much water I finally grabbed some wet wipes from the car and washed up with those. I get in a very uncomfortable bed and listen to the guy next door snore. I finally fall asleep and wake up a few hours later, to the sound of what i thought was a fly flying into the window to get out, no it was a bee, so i grab my shoe and kill it, I tried the shower again, still cold. I purposely wait till 9am to go to the office, it’s closed but an employee is there and I tell him no hot water, he tells me he’ll look at it and it might need to be turned up, no worries because i have to get to my event and set up. So I come back around 10:45pm, tired and hot from the humidity plus it had rained for about 2hrs so I just wanted to take a shower, no hot water. Whatever, I’m leaving at 4am I just want to sleep now, 5 or so minutes go by and i hear the tapping against the window so i turn on my phone flashlight and not just one bee but now there’s a friend so i watch them fly up to the ceiling and then Fly it through the roof, PS- it’s like a big shed from Home Depot that you would out in your yard. At this point I can’t go to sleep knowing bees are flying in and out so I grab my blanket and pillow, I zip up my over night bag so nothing gets in there and i go out to the car to sleep. 5am i was out the door and heading back home. All I can say is if that’s the honeymoon suite, it must be for the rugged couple who don’t mind cold water showers. It was truly a waste of money and I should have taken my chances with the sketchy motel, I might have had atleast warmer water. Other than that the cabin/shed was super cute and cozy.

It was our maiden voyage with a camper we bought last fall. We chose here because it was an easy maneuver for us first-timers. We have been State Park tent campers for many years before this...but getting older makes tent camping harder so we got a camper. We had a nice relaxing time away from life and people are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

It's a nice campground and well taken care of but don't come here if you want rest and relaxation. They have inconsiderate seasonal campers who don't care about anyone else but themselves and a live band blasting through the whole campground until 11:15 at night. We had 2 small children crying because they couldn't sleep. Not worth the $65 a night to get no sleep.

Fortunately they have the long upright banners to mark the entrance. As you can't see the campground from the road and have to drive down hill past the lake to get there. Excellent Wi-Fi , back in sites on grass full hook up 30/50 Amp, Paved roads. Newly redone bath houses... Seasonal campsites around the perimeter ll with lots of regular RV sites and campsites. Everyone was very kind and friendly. Beautiful place in the Catskills mountains. Cooperstown is 30 miles away with a delightful boat trip on the lake. And the baseball hall of fame and a Saturday farmers market. Excellent waterfalls in the area. Don't miss the breakfast on the weekend at Buck hill farm. We stayed a week in a 35 ' 5th wheel easy campground for big rigs. It's marked down in our travel journal as one of our favorite campgrounds .

We loved this place! The owners are great people and helped us get in early, even though we had to move. The sites are on grass but the area is so rocky that you will not get stuck. We took out fur baby on lots of walks great for her! We played bingo one nite and it was a blast!
