The person who helped my wife and I, who I assume was the owner, was very helpful and friendly. I walked out with a great cabernet and tequila he suggested. The selection is on the smaller side, but the great staff more than makes up for it.

Wow- when I talk about small businesses to support, this is the place to visit! Lou has owned this shop for 24 years, and he taught us so much about wine and alcohol. We had an absolute delight, learning about his shop and the history. His great grandfather helped to build the Croton Dam, he has amazing music and an incredible alcohol selection. COME and shop at his store - we need more places like this!! Just ask LOU anything - it's a delight!

Buying from Lou reminds you why you drink quality wine and spirits in the first place. This place is the very definition of a small town wine shop. Its owner is akin to what you would find in a great bottle, a complex and colorful character, and a living history of Croton itself. If you appreciate that wine and whiskey are more than just beverages, that they all tell unique stories while providing an experience that brings people together to enjoy them - you would be at a loss to pass by this warm and extraordinary shop without a sip or a chat.

Lou is knowledgable regarding the wines that he sells. It is clear that he cares about each wine. Great selection from the inexpensive to the fancy. I will definitely be coming back - I felt valued as a customer :) Plus he is open until 10p!
