My family and I don't like how they have tried to ride on the coattails of Free Comic Book Day the last couple years by making it seem like they are participating in the promotion, IMO, yet without offering any of the Free Comic Book Day comics. We usually will go to 5-7 different shops on FCBD (it's a family tradition) but we all agreed this was the last time we go to 3rd Universe. We visited 6 other shops this FCBD, and a bunch last year, too, and none of them pulled this type of "bait and switch". But I will say this: the "Croton Con" they put on during FCBD this year was a cool idea and it would have been something I would have gone to annually if they hadn't purposely planned it for Free Comic Book Day and then offered no Free Comic Book Day comics. Had it been done on any other day, not to ride on FCBD's coattails, we probably would have made it an annual thing for our family.

Very good place, it's very complete, they have many game tables, it's very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. They sell my favorite root beer drink.

Everyone here is kind, warm, and friendly. Don't sleep on these kinds of businesses as they're the backbone of a community. This is a fantastic spot to mingle and play some board games. Plus, with great food right down the street it's easy to spend hours here.

I came there to play 40K. The person who worked behind the counter proceeded to try and sell me models and other materials that I didn’t want, we then played and he proceeded to cheat with an unbalanced game and his own “house rules” that benefited him only. I stopped the game, and left. I’ll never frequent this place again.

Great game store, but PLEASE do not bring your electronics to Brian to fix. Long story short, I brought in a gaming laptop with a small problem, and now have no laptop at all because of his carelessness.I had a very simple repair that I just needed a part for ($150 job) and he told me that I needed a new screen, or else my computer would completely die. Reviews were good, and he seemed like he knew what he was talking about, so I agreed. He replaced the screen and fixed the small issue, and told me to test it out. When I unplugged it in the store, the computer completely bricked itself. He then had the audacity to tell me it was because I unplugged the computer wrong, and tried to charge me for a new battery. Mind you, it had never left his sight. After explaining that, at this point, it would be cheaper to buy a new laptop, he waived the battery fee. He had no idea what went wrong.I thought this was the last of it!! I picked up the laptop, and it was working okay. Battery was fine. Next time I tried to turn it on, the screen was completely black. Only worked when I plugged it into an exterior monitor. Two weeks later, it wasn't working at all.I let a friend who works in computers take a look at it over Thanksgiving, and as soon as he opened the computer it was obvious what had happened. The protective buffer pad protecting the motherboard had been taken off and shoddily put back on, and was completely disconnected when he opened the computer. My motherboard had a burn mark on it.This is what shorted the battery. If Brian had been paying any attention, this was the easiest quality check in the world. As stands, he cost me almost $400 to break my laptop, and was furious he couldn't charge me more.Please. Take it from me. NEVER bring anything you need fixed to 3rd Universe Consulting.

Had recently visited this comic book emporium this past Friday and thought it was both entertaining and nostalgia inducing the stuff they were selling when browsing about the store. My partner had the idea of bringing me there after we have finished our walk from Croton Landing park, (considering this was my 1st time visiting the store, I had not known what to think about it but, soon after, I had gotten acquainted with one of the people within there. I dunno...I am socially awkward at first but, when I get to know you after sometime, I then switch to feeling more like myself). I am just as nerdy (kind've) like my boyfriend but, to an extent. Heh~I am the kind, that is into things like wizard/witch-like stuff being with tarot cards and/or stuff related to Harry Potter. I was able to find some books and things related to that kind of stuff, (which one of the attendants was kind enough to suggest me some books) I am into but, I was afraid the only Harry Potter book series set they had in there might have been expensive...(which is why I think I will plan to purchase each book separately to save more money that way. However, it is good to know, that they had it there for next time when I plan to purchase it). Moreover, I enjoyed my visit spending some time there to browse and befriend some people, (especially my partner, because he has visited the emporium multiple times); I would definitely recommend to visit this emporium if you happen to look for all things, that are nerdy. ☺️?

There are card game (Pokemon and Magic TCG) nights. They have Dungeons and Dragons and so much more. They have pcs to do online gaming. They just opened up the new stand up arcade that has everything you can expect and ask for!Bryan really has made this place a place where people can come and have fun. They also do computer repairs and sales.

Brian and staff are wonderful. I'm a semi-retired senior and my boss Cynthia from BHHS River Towns recommended I go there for a computer issue - my Surface Tablet would not turn on. They were very kind to me and plugged it into their cord and like magic it worked! They kept it charging for me until I was able to get another cord, and did not charge me anything when I returned to pick it up. These are a wonderful group of people!

One of the best LGS I've ever been to in my life. The community is incredible and the vibes from the place are amazing. I drive one hour home everyday just to play here.

3rd Universe is awesome! The people there are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and all about games + fun. If you like Pokémon cards, magic cards, and other card games, this emporium is for you! They also fix computers and have a computer lab.
