Dirty. $30 for two cups of ice cream that we didn't eat because it all seemed so unsanitary. And took about 20 minutes. Won't ever go back.

What a gem of an ice cream parlor! The owner is as sweet and real as the ice cream. All homemade with nothing artificial. She's a retired school teacher, but still has the chalk board up and loves to see the art and messages left by happy customers! The unique flavors are one of a kind original and out of this world delicious! The coffee and baked goods are also bangin' ?

I stopped in to Bluebird on a weekday afternoon. I've heard about this place for a few years, and yet never had a chance to visit. They have a reputation for great ice cream and I was in an ice cream mood. The owner was lovely, and she explained about how she makes all of the ice cream herself, in the back of the store. She has a nice selection of flavors, including seasonal ones like pumpkin. She also has a waffle maker there, which she uses to make her own ice cream cones. Also, there's an espresso machine, made in Italy, and they grind their own beans (beans from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Portland Oregon). The ground beans are what they put into their coffee ice cream. I tried a sample of the coffee ice cream and the flavor was very vibrant, really good. I would have had some then but it was late in the day and I didn't want the caffeine to keep me awake. The owner also makes cakes, pies and cookies, natural ingredients, nothing from a mix. Kids stop by after school, moms and kids stop by for an afternoon snack, it's a perfect go-to for locals in the know, and now I know. I just had coconut ice cream. It was very good. I will definitely return and I'll tell my friends about the espresso machine. Winter months are cold and dreary, and hanging out in this cute shop and having a cappuccino sounds like a perfect way to spend some time.

Home made ice cream? Tastes like breyers, looks like breyers, costs 4X as much, but most likely it's breyers.Overpriced and pretty sure the "home made" thing is lie made up to justify the prices.

The ice cream is above average, but we paid $12 for a cone with 2 scoops. No clue why this shop charges ~50% more than other ice cream spots, sheesh.

Kind of pricey but absolutely delicious. Totally worth it in my opinion, but I understand that the prices can be off putting.

Have been a few times and won't be back. The vegan mint chip ice cream did not have "chips" or chocolate flakes throughout, very icy in consistency. Asked for sprinkles during one trip and maybe got one teaspoon- when asked for more (the jar being right in front of her) the owner got upset/flustered and said we would have to wait until after the group behind us ordered and were served. Extremely slow service and very over priced- I am in this industry and very much appreciate her dedication to making everything by hand and sourcing of ingredients but the ice cream/service does not live up to the price. We ordered half a cake once and it was nearly $50, also not worth the price. I love to support local and gave it a few tries but overall disappointing.

Way over priced and service is extremely slow. We were the only ones in there and it took forever. $5.50 for one school of ice cream is sinful and so is $14.00 for a milkshake. Glad we crossed it off our list of places to try but we won't be back.

I love this place because it has real, fresh ice cream.❤️

Stopped by here on a Friday night. Rare to find an ice cream place nowadays where all the ice cream and cones are made in house. Charming and delicious: the Stumptown coffee ice cream was the most flavorful coffee ice cream I've ever tried! I'm not in Cross River often, but when I am, I'll be back!

You can never go wrong with ice cream, especially when it's homemade. But it is Cash only which is kind of a pain but worth it. And right now the owner is doing "curbside" so you order at the door and wait for it and you can eat outside with it. The Ice cream is delicious though. And the owner is so kind and a great ice cream maker!

Very very expensive and there are no prices listed so no clue how it all breaks down. She might just be making up prices as she goes along. Servings are small based on the price as well. Good but not worth the price at all.

Mixed review. 5 stars for the ice cream, it is very good and not sugary. 2 stars become you have to place your order at the door and because 2 scoops of ice cream are not worth $11!

Good ice cream but very high prices. We ordered 4 ice creams — 2 scoops per person — and paid $44!Cash only, no prices posted, slow service. The flavors were nice and the waffle cone was fresh, but the experience made us reluctant to go back.

A very strange experience in a strip mall, next to a foot reflexology/massage parlor. Can’t enter the establishment. My sundae: $18 two scoops is ice cream, a table spoon of hot fudge, 9 peanuts, two table spoons melted whipped cream, a little brownie in a bowl from the dollar store. I would ask her for her prices before you order. They are not listed anywhere. I think it is a tax evasion scheme.
