We’ve been experiencing loud sounds from our wood stove ever since we had it installed by Home & Hearth a few years ago. Hard to book a technician and when we do, we are charged a high fee for the service. The issue has yet to be resolved. They even forgot about a service appointment this week and did nothing to fix their mistake. We can’t even put the fan on a high setting without having to bear with the sound. Terrible customer service and they do not follow up when asked. We’ve called many times. Helpful when you have to purchase something, but if you have an issue after that, it seems like they do not care and will continue to charge you just for a visit.

I just purchased a Napoleon Grill at Home and Hearth to replace my 25 year old Weber, and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. John, one of the co-owners, was impressively well-informed and helped me select the best grill for my needs. There was no pressure, no hype and no "upselling"; just a respectful back and forth during which he demonstrated an amazing knowledge of the many grills on display. He confirmed much of what I learned from the different grill manufacture's web sites, and supplemented this information with real-world experience gained from over 25 years in the business. An added bonus was the free set-up, delivery AND disposal of my old grill. Forget about the big box stores and Amazon...go right to Home and Hearth. They are the perfect reason to buy locally from knowledgable retailers.

I would give them 1 star only bc being able to get the Treker sooner than other co. but that where it ends! Ordered in fall 22 arrived in Jan 23 installed in 2/23. Have yet to have the invoice corrected for warranty. Started calling 3/23 for service but they insisted I switch pellets first. I spent additional 1k for better pellets same issues. Finally reached owner to get service scheduled in Nov and first apt 1/19/24. 1/19 charged for apt. Didn’t even service stove. Glass etched and covered under warranty and can’t get anyone to resolve this. Owner requested more info and video at that time in Feb and I have been chasing emailing and calling since and can’t get my warranty issue addressed confirmed, emails responded to, or voicemails left! They have all been escalated to John/owner and he hasn’t resolved since 2/23 even after I paid for their stupid service (finally)or lack there of call! Got him on phone yes me to death asked for documentation via email although technician took it and has yet to respond since Feb! And ignored my voicemails at showroom. I am determined to fight until glass is rightfully replaced and stove runs right!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND BLOW SMOKE UP YOUR REAR END INSTEAD OF OUT YOUR CHIMNEY!!!!!I purchased a pellet stove insert from them last year. After having my annual cleaning done (WHICH WAS OVERPRICED AND INSUFFICENT), it has not worked right since. The tech refused to clean out the liner, so when I did it myself, I find that they did not run the liner all the way out to the top of the chimney. I have been told by numerous PROFESIONALS (pellet installers and Firemen) that this is a fire hazard. When I went back to the store to address the issue, I was told that it was installed to the manufacture's minimal recommendations. Minimal does not make it right. They basically did the least amount of work possible. Instead of listening to me and my wife's concerns and addressing them, we were written off by their sales and service representative. I guess they are covered in case my house burns down so why give a damn about us. When my wife asked how much to come out and run a new liner to the top of the chimney stack to give us peace of mind she was ignored and not answered. He was more concerned with showing us the minimal requirements in the owners/installer manual. They offered no correction to our concerns. Also, since the annual service, my status light keeps blinging in 2 blink intervals. When I called the store about this, they said they would come out for a fee. This store is ridiculous with their lack of customer service. My stove is a year old was installed unsatisfactory and I have a feeling their tech screwed something up. I would give ZERO STARS if that was an option!!!!DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

Knowledgeable staff, great products and good installation team. I gave only 3 stars as I'm not satisfied with the follow up process after reporting of couple of issues. I basically experience a leak underneath my wood stove. I guess it's coming from the wood I'm burning and somehow water is leaking from the fire chamber and creates a paddle underneath the stove. That is unexpected to me. I also experienced that the glass windows of the stove discolored coming from the stove itself and leaving distinct stripes on the glass that can't be cleaned with industrial cleaner. For 6 weeks I'm trying to get someone speak to me about this and address this issue but unfortunately calls and emails remain unanswered. Only once someone came out, took pictures and never heard back. So everyone out there looking for a fireplace or stove, be aware, as soon as something goes wrong you will be left alone.

I find the staff excellent. They are always ready to help with my Harmon Pellet Stove. I have owned the stove for about 10 years and do the cleanings and most maintenance myself. They are always ready to give advice on how to fix or clean the stove. In all the years I have only needed one service call and that went very well. I recommend them to all my friends and plan to purchase my next stove from them. If you want quality they are the place to go, if you want cheap you may want to go some where else ... which personally I think you will regret in the long run.

Was referred by a friend that purchased at this business, so we figured was worth a try. We were looking forward to getting a pellot stove. What a process. Yonkers required a specific package be filled out and done as required for permit. After several calls & messages left to get paperwork done, no callbacks or visit for installer were made. The lack of communication and response was terrible. Ended up requesting a refund and even that took almost 2 months. Waste of our time, especially a waste of a winter that we could have had our pellot stove installed. So upset & definitely disappointed!

We purchased our Kitchen cabinets and countertops and hardware from home and hearth. Greg is the best he designed our kitchen . He is so knowledgeable and precise with everything. He went above and beyond. We had our own contractor if not I would have had them do the remodel. I would highly recommend Home and hearth. Best customer service! Anyone who needs a kitchen remodel go see Greg at home and hearth he's the best!!

Spent thousands to get a pellet stove insert installed in our fireplace. Come to find out they did not install a liner to the top of the chimney( only 10 feet in). This is a fire hazard and NO ONE was willing to professionally clean it. Now I am paying for it to be redone and this place will NOT.

GO ELSEWHERE!! I ordered a glass door for my fireplace which came with a safety screen. During installations it was noticed that the latch for the fireplace screen was defective. It was brought back to the store where I was assured it would be a quick fix. 6 months later and I still do not have a screen on my fireplace. Every call I made to inquire (many) I was told that my screen would be ready in a couple of days... not once did anyone from the store follow up and call me. I am sure at this point that my screen is lost, not that anyone at Home and Hearth cares. I have reported them to the BBB. Worst customer service that I have ever experienced.
