I got an estimate for reupholstering a large ottoman in leather for $600 or so. When Oscar came to pick it up, the price had jumped to around $900, which alarmed me, but I paid a $400 deposit by check (wouldn't take a cc) anyway. Soon after that I received an invoice via email for $1500, which we cannot afford. Truly alarmed, we walked the mile to the shop and retrieved our ottoman. They promised to return $190 of our deposit. This was six weeks ago and we've seen not a dime despite regular emails. It looks like a plain scam to me. Give them zero stars.

It is not often one come across people of pride and soul at their profession, but Aida and Oscar prove us wrong. The final product showed not only their old school craftsmanship but more importantly it revealed their pride, joy and artistry. I would highly recommend Oscar Deco.

Most recently I had an early 1900’s chippendale coffee table restored at Oscar Deco and the final product came out fantastic. This is the 2nd antique piece that Oscar has restored for me and his workmanship, eye for details and artistic approach to doing this type of work is second to none. So, if you’re serious about getting some excellent restoration work done, take it to Oscar Deco.

About two weeks ago, I have asked Oscar to rescue our beloved noguchi table, which was totally destroyed by untrained puppy. My girl almost chewed into the table legs for about an inch deep that my wife and I was just shopping for a new table after given up on it. A fortune came , we found Oscar's place near my office. Oscar and his wife greeted me with warm and welcome smile. They have advised me to come back 2 wks after for a pick up. Today is that day. I just picked up my table and I couldnt resist but to write a favorable review for him. I was in awe of his work he performed on my table. I had to ask him several times just to figure out where he had his work done. An incredible craftmanship. He went above and beyond. I can not praise him hard enough! Highly recommended!

Based on recommendations here, I contacted Oscar about reupholstering my dining room chairs. Oscar was prompt with an estimate, and when I hired the company, the customer service was exemplary. We quickly established a date for pick up.
Oscar is so friendly and helpful! I purchased upholstery, and he checked it to make sure it was appropriate for use. He then removed the chair cushions, which meant there was no travel wear-and-tear on the chairs themselves. He also tightened all of the chair legs!
As promised, Oscar returned a week later with the cushions. Each was carefully reupholstered and the filler was replaced. He reattached all the seats again and the chairs look gorgeous.
I highly recommend Oscar's work for its quality, customer service, and for an overall friendly, stress-free experience.

We went to to this place a year ago
They seemed very nice but after pricing around we didn’t use them. They were trying to tell us that fabric had to be cut on a bias and required 3 yards more than anyone else we spoke with.
Had my chairs done by a reputable place and saved hundreds.

BETTER THAN ORIGINAL! I was amazed to see the restoration of my brand new table that was destroyed during my move. When my movers dis-assembled the table, they mistakenly drove the screws from the base through the tabletop, causing it to look like it had been riddled with bullets. I was so upset that I almost threw the table out believing it was irreparable. The table had been discontinued so it was also irreplaceable. I found Oscar by doing a google search and reading reviews. I decided to give it a shot and was shocked when I was told that he could do the repair. I was completely stunned with delight to see the masterpiece that came back. Oscar had to strip the entire tabletop, fill the holes and then re-finish it. When he delivered it I said to him that it looked better than when I bought it. He explained to me that when he removed the original finish he found beautiful natural markings and marbling in the wood and used a slightly lighter finish to highlight the beautiful wood. He is an artist and clearly driven by his passion. I thanked him and told him that I could see this was a labor of love. I am so happy to have discovered Oscar Deco. His team is also awesome and made everything super easy!

I am so happy with the furniture (sofa, 3 chairs) that Oscar reupholstered with great attention, skill, and artisanship! He and his wife, Aida, helped me select fabrics and styling. They were knowledgeable, professional, and patient . Everyone loves the furniture, and I smile every time I enter the room!

We purchased all new furniture, and on one of the side chairs , I felt that it was a little low, and not enough cushioning. I decided that we wanted a cushion added to the chair, even though it does not have one usually. I called Room + Board and ordered one full extra yard of fabric. After it arrived I made a paper template of the custom cushion, and I took the fabric and the template into the store. We had a brief conversation/consultation, and after deciding on the cushion height and density, it was in their hands. About a week later, they called and I picked it up. After placing it on the chair it is absolutely perfect. Every single person who sees it thinks the cushion was always part of the chair. We've had it a few weeks now and it's like it was always been here.

Lovely people, great quality , Oscar and his wife Aida run a tight little ship, great work they were so great to work with. Very professional, don't be fooled by the tiny jumbled store front, their work is first rate, and great care is taken even in delivery. Don't hesitate, sorry I gave some work to another upholsterer. They are a find!

I can't say enough good about the care and attention Oscar and Aida gave my grandmother's rocking chair. Careful craftmanship is one thing, but that same sort of care in the doing of business is beyond craftmanship.

Oscar reupholstered two chairs for us about 8 years ago. They have held up beautifully. We love the work he did.Recently, we needed our couch reupholstered and we had Oscar do the work.Our couch came back nicer than when it was new! No joke.The work he does is beautiful.
