172-02 Linden Blvd, Queens“Steamed seafood, yum. You pick your seafood, you pick your veggie sides, they literally season to taste; then into the steamer it goes. Everything is cooked to order in front of you and is to go ONLY. You're in the store/wait for about 20 to 30 mins.*If you don't like your veggies soft separate them from the seafood and tell them 5 mins. The seafood is steamed about 15 mins.Good healthy options. They do fry also but most orders are steamed. Smart concept.”

Watermelon one, super refreshing!”

272 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn“Great selection of fresh fruit. If you are buying one for a snack on the go, they will wash it up for you, too! Treat yourself to something tasty and eat it in the park.”
8:30AM - 10:30PM
8625 Bergenline Ave, North Bergen“It was the closest supermarket to where we stayed, it is not the best but at least you save money to buy snacks and breakfast, you need many practical things, but better than not having anything nearby to buy”
“The staff is very attentive. It is the most affordable market for fruits and vegetables I have ever seen. It is even more affordable than Walmart. I really liked the butcher's section for fruits and vegetables. You should definitely visit it.”
“Best fruit store in Greenpoint. They always have the freshest produce that is worth every penny. Everyone who works there is very sweet and helpful. The owners are wonderful. I always get the pre cut papaya, which is always fresh and very sweet. They are the best by far in the neighborhood hands down! .”
9AM - 8PM
3006 3rd Ave, Bronx“Always my number 1 place to grocery shopping, prices are reasonable, and NO ONE CAN BEAT THEM..... average Supermarket is way too expensive. I GOT 4 shopping bags, 2 plastic backs and one back pack full of groceries for 133.89. Yet in any supermarket same items would had cost me around 250.00 or more.”
“Yummy DELICIOUS birria pizza and al pastor pizza. I did half and half a medium for $25. It was SO GOOD. I definitely recommend. Me personally I liked the birria side better, but my friend liked the al pastor better. So I guess just try both flavors!”

32-24 30th Ave., Astoria“United Brothers Fruit Markets is located in Astoria, Queens. Open 24 hours / 7 days a week, various produce is available. The apples sold here come straight from NY State Farms, and it is to support local farmers. Connected right next door to the marketplace is where they have a Juice Bar & sell fresh juices & smotthies as well as their infamous Hot Apple Teas! United Brothers Fruit Market is accessible via public transportation, which includes the N train to 30 Ave. It is a short walking distance from the train station and is close to a host of hang-out spots, eateries, etc. and not too far from shops on Steinway (GAP, Banana Republic, etc.) When arriving at United Brothers Fruit Markets, there are Hot Apple Tea samples that once can try near the outside front entrance. This establishment introduced me to Hot Apple Tea, and it is delicious. Although I have purchased reasonably priced produce many times, United Brothers Fruit Markets 100% Natural Homemade Hot Apple Tea is my favorite thing to purchase here, and I have had various flavors. Strawberry Blueberry Hot Apple Tea, Spearmint Hot Apple Tea, Ginger Cinnamon Hot Apple Tea, Mango Hot Apple Tea, Ginger Hot Apple Tea, etc....you name it and they sell it. The Pineapple Hot Apple Tea is so good. A regular size Hot Apple Tea is $5, and a large size is $7. The Hot Apple Teas are so refreshing. “The Gun Hill Road Aldi remains a fun place to shop. And their prices on many items are more reasonable than the local chains.
The fruit and vegetables are fresh although varieties can be limited at times. Many varieties of packaged salads are available. The meat section is fairly well stocked with chicken, beef, pork, and salmon. Cheeses are a fun section- feta, gouda, goat, mexican amongst many more.
There is an ample variety of spaces.
Go early as the store does get crowded. Remember to bring your own bags.”

750 Sunrise Hwy, Valley Stream“Aldi is one of my favorite stores for grocery shopping because it's affordable, and the fruits and vegetables are always fresh so I get them from there. I am not sure if they are delivered every day. Also, you can find a variety of unique items there.”
9AM - 8:30PM
845 White Plains Rd, Bronx“The place was very clean and organized. The food looked fresh and the price was reasonable. Although it went up a bit, from the last time I was there. Inflation isn't our best friend. ? I don't need a shopping cart because I don't have much to pick up, so it would be nice to have a hand basket. Furthermore, the self checkout is cool. I'm usually in and out.”

3212 30th Ave., Astoria“the closest thing to a green market in Queens. Fruits and vegetables and bunches of herbs locally sourced and achingly fresh and delicious. Garlic so new and flavorful that I've had to cut down in recipes. L.I. tomatoes glowing with real dirt picked fresh off the vine--no wonder they've been here fifty years and open until midnight. The beginning of fall apples waiting for pies and apple sauce. The two women who run it are sympathetic and helpful. If you can't find it, they'll know where it is. Even the potatoes taste fresh--so different from standard grocery store fare! Summer asparagus that I couldn't stop eating. And baby zuchinni and I don't like zuchinni. I am so happy. I didn't think when I moved anything could equal the Sunday market at the museum of Natural History. Elliniki more than succeeds--and its open seven days a week.”
“Bayside milk farm is an excellent small business and local staple. Employees are kind members of this community who remember the regulars and are always available to help. Wholesome spot. The guy in the comments talking about non service dogs was probably the person yelling he would write a nasty review in the store when someone had what was clearly a service dog with them minding their own business. Came storming in and out. The place is hygienic people, but also caters to those in need of service animals. Most people in the store smile and wave at the animal legally allowed to be there. All in all fun spot and as a regular felt I oughta defend my local grocer. #BaysideBoys”

8AM - 7PM
7549 Metropolitan Ave, Flushing“Stumbled upon this authentic Italian grocery market because I saw these huge Kinder eggs that I purchased for my sons 3rd birthday. They have all sorts of fresh pasta, cheeses, olives. I would definitely return here and spend more time to purchase ingredients.Parking can be a hassle in this area so it’s best to go in the morning or later at night as there’s too much commercial traffic in between. Parking is also metered so be sure to have coins in case these pesky machines keep declining your card!Huge bonus, Dollar tree is right across the street!”
Open 24 hours
211-14 Hillside Ave., Queens“Besides of fresh veggies and fruits, you will get flowers here for your loved one. This place saves our time to buy flowers. We don't need to go far to buy them.”

235 W 55th St, New York“It was a wonderful find on the trip! There is fresh food to pick up from self-service. There are countless options, it is almost impossible to decide what you prefer to eat. The value per kg is displayed on a sign in front of the food. Everything very fresh and quality. There are plenty of places to sit and eat in peace, and they also play really cool music.A great tip is that they have a section just for “snacks” like bagels, bread with eggs and bacon, etc. Freshly made and wrapped in aluminum foil just like in the Harley Quinn movie!”
Open 24 hours
130 Church Ave, Brooklyn“I am happy to see that Carnival has hired a lovely group of cashiers this year - friendly, efficient & fast! You get the HIGHEST quality and bang for your buck at Carnival - check it out!”
“I love, love, love this produce market! Yes, even though they are remodeling right now, but they will be back sooner or later. In the meantime, K&Y Fruit and Veggie is owned by the same family. It's further down Court Street, and has a verrrry similar assortment and vibe. Anyway, back to the reasons I love this market: Quality is quite high; prices are very reasonable; and it's also nice to have the Asian sauces and condiments in the back, too. In all, a real service to the neighborhood. Could not have higher words of praise for any shop in the area.”
“Forest Hills Pharmacy has a reputation in Forest hills, Rego park, and Corona for being the local's first choice when it comes to medication or other pharmacy goods. The place is spotless and the people working there are not just attentive, but compassionate. It doesn't feel like your corporate pharmacy and instead has the feel of a mom and pop shop. Thank you to Ester and all of her staff.”
8:30AM - 9PM
61-11 Junction Blvd, Queens“Great store, clean, fresh produce and meats. Prices can't be beat, high quality and very competitive to the larger chain grocery stores like ShopRite and Stop and Shop. You'll see food, household items, and great finds you think you wouldn't need at prices that are easy on your wallet. Very simple shopping experience, you shop, you buy, you bag, you go, you save money!”
“Great place to go shopping. It is a Hispanic store. The employees are quick. It tends to get busy, the line gets long however it goes pretty fast. A bit of narrow space to move around.”
