“Many qipao stores have closed since the pandemic, thank goodness Sylvia's is still around. I came up from DC to find a wedding qipao after a frustrating day of not being allowed to try on garments in Manhattan Chinatown. Despite only making an appointment 2 hours prior, Sylvia allowed me to try on as many as I wanted and was super helpful in helping me decide among options. I found brocade styles that I've never seen at other stores or online. I came back several months later (timed with a work trip) to try on what I had ordered -- it had to be shipped from China. I thought I would have to return for a third trip to pick up my tailoring but no, Sylvia made adjustments while I got lunch in Flushing and I took it home that afternoon! I could not recommend making the trek out here more.”

“This boutique is absolutely adorable! I am so happy my colleague introduced me to it as I've never even noticed it despite going to the UPS and shoe repair stores next door quite often. It does share a parking lot with King Soopers and few other stores as well as food places so plenty of parking! I am far from country and southern styles but this boutique literally has something for everyone! Fabulous and one of a kind jewelry (trust me, I tried to find similar items online with absolutely no luck, which is great). Really great clothing items as well. Some of the brands, such as KUT, can be found at Nordstrom but Wild Blue seems to select the best of the best so it's all ready for you to shop. Prices are very reasonable as well! I've introduced it to some of my friends, and literally all of them are already the repeat customers. I definitely recommend checking it out if you are nearby or it's also worth making a special trip (especially considering the fact that there are tons of amazing places to have lunch/dinner around so you can make a super fun day out of it).”

“I was visiting my daughter in NYC, as I do several times a year. We have walked by this store many times, but finally stopped in. I needed a nice sweater to wear to a restaurant that had a dress code and I only packed casual clothes. I wore the sweater that night, but the weather really took a turn - it was 82 degrees on the weekend and only 45 by the time I left. The sweater I bought was on sale at such a reasonable price and turned out to be a lifesaver. I also bought a few other pieces of clothing on sale. I got a free large tote bag with my purchase that came in handy the rest of my trip and on my return flight since they only allow one carry-on bag.Tim was one of the sweetest people I have ever encountered in a store - especially in NYC! He was incredibly helpful and it was a true pleasure to meet him. Until he told us, we had no idea that Daily Thread has about 150 stores in 30 states, including the Chicago area. We also didn't know that Frye and Juicy Couture are owned by the same parent company!”
“This is an AMAZING boutique that not only has some of everyone's favorite blind box items (smiski, sonny angel, etc), but also showcases and sells incredible products (stickers, bags, pins, plushies, jewelry, apparel, prints, and more) from a TON of NYC and Queens based local artists and small businesses.The staff at the store are super friendly and it's a really wonderful little place of sunshine and kindness in the city. Michael was a pleasure to work with from the get-go.From offering complimentary beverages upon arriving to taking the time to get to know me and my story to better help him in assisting me picking out the garments needed for my wedding. Also for taking the time to really let me go through every catalog they had, and I made sure I went through them all, to make sure I found what I loved most. I didn't feel rushed or like he was even trying to sell me a suit at all but rather felt like a friend trying to help me decide what would work best for my fashion and budget. Getting fitted was also a breeze. 12/10 will be shopping again at Balani and telling all of my friends and family about the amazing services provided. And that’s just the service !!The Suit itself was immaculate and fit like a glove. Perfect fit, colors were even better than the swashes some-how and was made to be able to withstand a bigger guy getting low.
