Stylist: I started having Barbara style my hair in 1994 at a salon by my house and when she changed to Main Street Cutters I followed her and still have her as my stylist for 30 years now. She always does a great job no matter what I need…never disappointed. She even does my eyebrows. ?

This was my first time going to MSC and meeting Sophia. I took a risk, and trusted the great reviews; I am new to the area so I had nothing else to go by. Sophia and MSC exceeded my expectations.
I booked a pretty extensive appointment with Sophia for a bayalage (full head), toner, plus a hair trim. In previous experiences (at other salons), I would book a coloring, or a wash & blow-out appointment, and I would receive an automatic default time slot: 45 min to 1hr for wash & blow out, and ~2hrs for coloring (doesn't matter the kind). It has been my experience (most of my life), that these default time slots do not work well for stylists who have never worked with my hair. I have thick hair, and a lot of it, which makes coloring and wash & blow-outs more time consuming than the average. I do my best to forewarn any new stylists I work with, but some do not take this seriously until they actually put their hands on my hair. This is when I would normally receive passive aggressive comments, asking why I didn't book a longer appointment (even when I have tried or suggested it, receptionists have usually brushed this off), or they say something to the effect of, "We may not have time to get this all done today, I have another client after you." This often makes me feel like an inconvenience and a burden to the stylist. It also makes the stylist feel rushed and sometimes overwhelmed. Lastly, it is disappointing to me to have to break up my hair appointments just to get the color or style I want because there was not adequate time booked for me.
I am happy to say (for the first time ever), that my appointment was not rushed or overlapping someone else's appointment, and that adequate time was set aside for what I was requesting. The app made it easy for me to book what I needed, and request extra time. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Sophia read my request and took this into account when meeting and working with me. I was able to get everything I wanted done in one appointment. It took 3 hrs (which is normal for my hair coloring appointments), but Sophia did it professionally and without any sign of inconvenience. I felt like she really wanted to give me the look I was going for, and she worked to ensure I got it. Sophia is a young stylist with tremendous potential; she nailed my coloring and cut spot on and managed my hair with complete ease. I will be returning to Sophia going forward. She is pleasant, patient, and a great listener.

Jaimie did a beautiful job on my hairstyle for a wedding event. Not only did she do exactly what I was hoping for, but she was personable and easy to talk to throughout the styling. Love my hairdo and had a great overall experience!!

I have been going to MSC for 30+years. They are an amazing group of women who take the very best care of your beauty needs. They are always current and up to date as to what the latest trends are to keep you fresh and new. My favorite is Kristen for my hair and Jackie for my nails but honestly they are all wonderful and talented!
