New homeowner brand new to woodburning stoves and called for a sweep. Glad we did as it appears it hadn't been swept in some time - Mike was super insightful and will certainly be coming back for another sweep come spring.

Then, he was a NO SHOW to another court where another customer had sued him, and a judgement was placed against him. Then, he called in sick to court on December 13.On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Mike Doran finally showed up at the courthouse. He brought 6 pages of photographs. I brought a full 1.5 inch 3 ring binder of evidence. Unbeknownst to me, Mike Doran admitted his worker that helped put the failed installation into my home is Uncertified. After our testimonies were given, the Honorable Judge advised we would have his decision in 30 days.Mike Doran left the courtroom first. I stayed at the back of the courtroom for about a minute so I could exit the building through the doors on the opposite side of the courthouse. When I exited the courtroom and headed down the stairs away from Mike Doran, he stepped towards me, and, under his breath, but loud enough for me to hear from behind, he said, "You fu-ing little...".In the microsecond I heard the second word, I rapidly turned around, walked directly back into the courtroom and flagged the Bailiff to explain what had happened. He acknowledged it, and I left the courthouse through the opposite side of the building from where Mike Doran had exited. Though I trust the Bailiff completely, before I left the premises, I believed it was important to go back into the courthouse and let the Court Clerk know as well. It is my request that the Court play back the courthouse video so they may see for themselves exactly what happened. In my testimony, I explained to the Honorable Judge that I did not want Mike Doran back on my property because I do not feel safe. In my written testimony, I provided the dates of when Mike Doran had verbally attacked me before. The verbal attack just outside of the courtroom is another specific example of why I do not feel safe. Verbal harassment shall include derogatory remarks, jokes, or slurs, and can include belligerent or threatening words spoken to another. Verbal harassment is unwanted verbal comments which make a person feel bad or unsafe. It is our intention to pursue legal action against this individual to the fullest extent of the law. We ask the Court to place an injunction against Mike Doran to prevent this behavior from happening again including a 5 year Order of Protection against Mike Doran and all of his associates.BUYER BEWARE

Mike did a great job on our chimney cleaning. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared some great tips on safe and optimal use of our fireplaces. Him and his associate were prompt and neat, and respectful of the surroundings so no mess left behind. We wouldn’t hesitate to turn to Complete Chimney again for future chimney and fireplace servicing needs.

We contacted Complete Chimney in October of 2021 for a water leak from our chimney into the bedroom fireplace. They came out, provided an estimate and we hired them for the repair in early December. They recommended a new chase cover to fix the water intrusion.Fast forward to April 2022, 5 months after the work had been completed. We experience the exact same leak in our fireplace. We contacted Complete Chimney to inform them the water leak had clearly not been fixed. They came over and said it was "all tight". After I expressed I was unhappy with the issue not being resolved, Complete Chimney became very confrontational and started blaming other areas of the roof for the leak. Areas which were not an issue only months ago when Complete chimney provided their chimney inspection. We contacted another certified Chimney company for a full inspection and another opinion. They have documented the chase cover was not installed correctly and is the direct source of the water intrusion. After informing Complete Chimney of this they have chosen not to respond to us and will clearly not stand behind their work. Their poor workmanship has rendered our chimney useless, and made the water leak worse. The issue persists and our chimney now lives with a tarp covering it.Please take this word of caution seriously when considering hiring Complete Chimney for any service. We regret hiring them and are out several thousand dollars. We believe not standing behind your work and ignoring customers is a direct indication of how this company operates.Services: Chimney repair & restoration

Mike recently has done an excellent job on replacing a chase cover and some chimney flue pipes for us. He provided his honest and quality work on his project. Mike took his time to explain what happened to our chimney, and patiently listened to our concerns. As Mike's new customers, we have also found this gentleman's many fine characteristics and his well-rounded skills. Mike voluntarily removed our unused rusty satellite dish from our roof without any charge. We believe Mike is not only a professional chimney master, but also a very talented guitar player, and a very creative rock cairn designer. The unique cairn he built for us in our backyard for fun will always remind us of his beautiful smile and his kindness. We would highly recommend Mike to anyone who needs a chimney job to be done.Service: Chimney repair & restoration

I never like to do negative reviews on small businesses. I owned and operated my own small home improvement business for thirty years. I needed my chimney inspected and cleaned and after reading their reviews I contacted Complete Chimney on their web site. I never received a response after numerous attempts. I even sent a email with no response. I called the business number and was unable to leave a message it went to voice mail and the mail box was full. A little later in the day I finally spoke with Mike who was on the road and asked me to text him my information and he would contact me that night. I sent my info and never received a response. After a couple of days I texted Mike again and his response was that he would get back to me, he never did. I tried on last time and again no response. I know what it is like to be busy but I have always contacted my customers back even if I couldn't assist them right away. I really hate doing this and I always support local small businesses. I decided to use another local company that cleaned my chimney two weeks later.
