“Love this place all seasons of the year! Lots of cute animals, and super wholesome vibes! In the summer, the cat will roam around and ask for pets from visitors and is adorable, very friendly and soft :)The lunch menu isn’t big, but all the options are delicious and reasonably priced. I often order the Mediterranean wrap with falafel and it comes with a huge side salad. In the bakery, I love their apple cider donuts and irish soda bread—the bread was warm when we got it and it paired perfectly with the meal we ate. I also am a fan of how there’s a compost bin for food that doesn’t get eaten.”

“Such good vibes and good people. I felt like part of the crew when I got my tattoo done. I was able to coherently talk to my artist to work with them to get exactly what I wanted. They took into account my allergies, which was really important for me. I love that all the different artists here have different styles so if you're looking for something particular there's going to be someone great to be able to help you with it. The place is clean, they practice the right sterilization processes. They also celebrated artists and have art galley showings! The one that was up when I was there was so cool. This is a great place.”

“Collection of antique books, maps, and prints. Most of their business is online, but it was cool to browse their collection in person. Found a 1901 map of my hometown in this faraway bookstore!”

“John did an EXCELLENT job gicleeing (sp) 9 blue prints from my childhood home. Not only that, he framed three posters and re-framed an old painting I had for years. I could NOT be happier with his work. Remember, if you want something done on the cheap, go to a mass market store. If you want something done by a craftsman, go to New Windsor Art & Frame.”

“Interesting and unique pieces from local artists and more well know and interesting exhibits. Not very large but just enough to spend a few hours. It was a nice visit with some cool modern art pieces. The only thing I would say is the entry price should be a little lower. It was empty when we arrived which might account for the high entry price. Open only on sat and Sunday with limited hours. It was something different and unique to do on a sat.”

“What a nice gallery in a beautifully restored firehouse. Bright and airy with a wide collection of glass works and a glass blowing studio in the building as well. Very enjoyable for browsing and shopping. Thank you”

“Attended an event at the studio on Tuesday and it was amazing. The owners are wonderful, and I'm looking forward to returning for a class. This was my very first clay experience so try not to laugh too hard at my cup/bowl or and it was not intimidating. It was fun and definitely support this young small business. Looking forward to a glaze class.”

“Garrison Art Center is an absolutely amazing organization that focuses on learning, community, creativity and growth. Over the last year they have generously welcomed Masha, a Ukrainian refugee staying with our family, into their teen classes. It gives her an outlet to express herself and a chance to meet local peers. I cannot say enough about GAC's commitment to their values, and the beauty they offer to Garrison and beyond.”

“BAU gallery has featured the creative efforts of so many artists in its monthly shows in Beacon, New York throughout the years. Every second Saturday from 6-8 pm there is a town-wide open studios event and opening for a new exhibition. The gallery has a good mix of paintings, drawings, experimental work and ceramics. There is always something new to see there.”

“Gorgeous spot and super inspiring. I feel like it embodies some of the best parts of the lower Hudson valley; beautiful nature scenes of small Rocky Mountain streams and waterfalls. Their design aesthetic should be more widespread in my opinion. If you don’t want to take the paid tour, you can still park and see some of the grounds for a nice 15 min break off the road.”

“Strolling down Main St. Beacon, we just happened to look in the window. Noticing some unusual and unique items; curiosity took over. There's one of a kind jewelry from truly gifted artisans. Fossils, geodes, fascinating artifacts, so much to look at and be amazed by the beauty of the array.”
