The review would be 5 star but you can't get through on the phone they need someone there just sitting on the phones honestly. Besides that the service was fast and friendly. But what really stood out was the condition and cleanliness of the cab of the truck. I've rented many box trucks and moved numerous times, I have never seen a truck cab this clean or well kept! Would highly recommend renting here.

My experience... I set a week advance appointment with uhaul and picked a different location.. .. uhaul failed to call me to bring to my attention that my truck was only at the Coram location.. I then told the people in on the phone why you you not call me. And at least give me an option they then basically was giving me the run around and the person on the phone pretty much said uhaul I'd a monopoly and they do what ever they want. And the 2 people I was speaking to were very disrespectful.. and rude and they just keep saying oh we are trying to help you out.. if you are trying to help me out you would of given me a truck got free... And way they then got mad and said they I would have to go to the website to get a refund. So the next day I called uhaul and they told me my truck would be in Coram.. so I went there on Sunday morning a half hour early.. than I have the guy my I'd... Than I try to tell I'm my drop off location was gonna be different.. the than said it was an extra 8 dollars . because the difference.. so I tryed to give him. Cash .and he wanted my card. So my card is a debit card.. the guy then tryed to charge me $108 dollars.. and I told him I already paid a week ago.. than he tryed to tell me because I'm using a debit card it's extra 100 dollars.. so I started questioning him then the guy said to me if i don't stop questioning he will. Call uhaul and tell them I'm to stupid to drive.. and they will denie me a truck. At that point I was upset.. and he than called uhaul and had me black listed from rental... At this point I have waisted my whole weekend because of this and they had me on hold for hours waisting my time even more.. now I have to wait. Up to 5 buissness days to get a refund... These people and thus company put me in a really bad situation. Because they were trying to steal from my card and I wouldn't let them. I would never use this place again. They messed my whole move and waisted my time.. they owe me money for suffering

My experience with U-Haul of Coram was a easy and pleasant transaction. We're moving our son to Boston and need a van. I call U-Haul, tell them I need a van and afterwards I want to leave the van in Boston. Not a problem sir. Not a problem is what I want to hear! While we're filling out paperwork I see various packing supplies. While looking at the cardboard boxes, tapes and packing cushions, I noticed a mattress bag? I had plans to shove his mattress on top of his stuff? My wife said we need to have one so I spent a few bucks and put the mattress in a protective bag. We drove the U-Haul on the ferry and was in Boston licky split! We unpacked the truck, mission complete. The truck itself was new and everything worked. I am not a truck driver but after driving this van I can see why America turns to U-Haul. From picking up the van to dropping it off at another U-Haul, I highly recommend U-Haul of Coram.

What an awful experience, no explanation, nothing for making me and several other customers wait in the icy cold for hours for our scheduled rentals. Really should of paid attention to the other people warning customers to just STAY AWAY and take your business elsewhere.

When booking a rental of a cargo trailer, the online for only asked what vehicle I had. I received a call telling me which location had the trailer in stock and directed me to Coram. When I got there, they first had to redo the transaction three times as they had the info wrong, or higher than expected charges for a a one way. Finally, it was time to hook up the trailer and it was discovered I did not have the "ball" on the hitch. It was probably somewhere in the depths of my garage but since I was not reminded that it was necessary I had not thought to look for it previously. So I reluctantly spent $30 to buy the "ball" so I could just get on my way, although I was getting angrier by the minute. Then once it got hooked up, the man discovered there was no electrical hook up for the lights. Although I understand the logic behind the needs for the lights, not having every rented a trailer before, I had no idea about the requirement. Had the confirmation representative gone over any of this with me, I would have checked and realized I didn't have the necessary wiring and looked into other options. I was only learning of this a few hours before I had to depart. I was furious and had to get the trailer unhitched and reverse another transaction. So I wasted over an hour of my time on a very busy day getting my daughter ready for college, I now had to figure out a way to transport a queen bed and desk out of state within hours, and never even got an apology or follow up call from the people at U-Haul. I would never use them again.

I gave this place one star because I had $5000. Dollars of handbags stolen from me I called and one of the workers told me nobody stole anything from you ,you better look around your house. With that said I called to get in touch with the insurance agency I was not given the number. Their camera only covers the hallway and outside but if someone was sleeping inside and they could get in your unit.my things was safe until I brought them out in to the hallway to repack them after that my handbags became missing.so I believe who ever watches the cameras might of seen who did it they don't have 24hr security I wouldn't recommend to nobody that's why I move my things out !dont repack in the hallway.this place should be called you store and we steal!

Do not go here. I can attest that the previous comments are accurate. I scheduled a hitch installation a week and a half in advance. I got there the Saturday morning of the installation and they said that I was wrong. They told me three times I was scheduled for the following Friday. I told them that was incorrect as I had to leave town that coming Thursday. They again told me I was scheduled for Friday. I had to pull up my email confirmation and show them that it was actually Saturday. Only then did they fake me seriously at all. After 20 minutes of rummaging around, they said they didn't have the parts and I would have to come back in a week. I said I couldn't wait a week as I was leaving town in a few days, so I offered to come back on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and they said they weren't sure if they could help me. They said their manager would come in at noon a do they would call me after they spoke with her, but never called back (a tactic they've used on several people apparently). They said I may need to go to another place, but I had already paid online for the installation. I called Lauren's (the managers) cell and left a message, but never heard back from her or the staff members who said they would call me back. I called the next day several times, no response. I called the corporate office and they couldn't help me much, but detailed my info and problems and emailed it to the manager, telling her to contact me ASAP. Again, no response after another 24 hours. I went in this morning to get a refund. The guy at the counter didn't have authorization so he called Lauren, the manager I'd been trying to get a hold of for days. She answered his call within 3 seconds. It took another 20 minutes to get my refund and I never got so much as an "I'm sorry for your inconvenience". These people really don't care at all about doing an even half decent job. They are unconcerned with your schedule or needs abs take no responsibility for how poorly the branch is functioning. DO NOT GO HERE FOR HITCH INSTALLATIONS!

S T O P... DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS LOCATION. I have and been renting from U-Haul for many years now. I have never had any issues EVER. This location needs to have everyone fired. I will never deal with this company if something isn't done about the outright rudeness, under trained, lack of knowledge, and poor customer service staff at this location. The Manager is a complete moron, and the staff doesn't know any better due to the lack of leadership. Recently I rented a pickup truck for a delicate move. I arrived at the location and 2 trucks were available in the lot. 1 was full of concrete and a mess the other was clean. I asked for the clean truck. I was told trucks are rented in rotation and whatever truck comes up is the one I will get. ??? I explained that I needed a clean truck and the clerk began to argue with me. I started the rental and sure enough the truck full of cement was assigned. I told them I couldn't use that truck and wanted the other. They refused. I explained I needed the truck cleaned then... I was told "I'm not cleaning the truck". The Manager was ZERO help. Then this ridiculous third phone number BS. I gave them a third number which they called from the desk. The phone rang and an answering machine picked up. They told me someone had to answer the phone. I told them no one is home to answer the phone, it's my wife's phone and she's outside in the car. She dropped me off to pick up the truck. I was told that she had to DRIVE BACK HOME AND ANSWER THE PHONE. No kidding... The Manager said the same. I left and rented at a dealer location with no incidents or any trouble at all.

My wife went to this location to have a hitch installed while I was out of town. She made the appointment over the phone and even without knowing what we needed the standard converter was installed. This does not work fully with my trailer. When we pointed this out we were told to buy a converter that also is not fully functional. We were told a manager would be in today at 11 am and call us back and they never did. After spending a half an hour on the phone today around 4 pm. I was hung up on told my wife is lying and she agreed to the work. However the person I was speaking too had never talked to my wife. He just took the car and assumed the work to be done by the general standard that the person on the phone assigned. There was no effort to even help at all or make anything right after the problem was pointed out. Also besides being hung up on. It is very hard to get in touch with the store with without talking to multiple people / departments. After finally getting the call to the actual store and trying to talk with Eric the assistant manager, I am now wondering if I would have been treated differently as a Man.

Set up an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed. When I arrived to drop the vehicle off, Lauren informed me that the appointment was changed to another day. I certainly did not make the change. She told me that she couldn't do it and offered that I go to another uhaul. She didn't have a care in the world and the fact that I had a family member follow me to drive me home really caused aggravation. No apology or any care over the situation from Lauren. So I cancelled the job and will have it done elsewhere.

This place is a scam.... Don't go here they'll randomly charge you for damages when you bring the equipment back. Be sure to take lots of pictures of your the rental before using it so these thieves don't screw you over.
