What a wonderful and excellent experience I have received with Jog Agate and Samantha at Selective Remodeling. From the moment we entered the showroom we were given the red carpet treatment. Mom and I felt as if we were going to the Oscars, we certainly received the red carpet treatment. We learned so much as to how certain remodeling jobs are to be done the correct way and not through cutting corners. Joe Agate and his staff are meticulous from the moment materials and design are chosen for any remodeling job. We had new gutter system installed and Joe was present with his crew who did an excellent job. Materials all delivered on time, inspected before hand for any damages and/or imperfections. This job was done excellently with passion for the craft of remodeling, installation, and design. Joe's crew cleaned up everything we didn’t have to do a thing. It simply was easy sailing from the moment we spoke to Samantha to meet with Joe to the finalization of the job. We will be using Selective Remodeling for all of our remodeling jobs they truly are a company of excellence, honesty, compassion, and hard work as are the craftsmen they choose to do each specific job whether it be gutters, a kitchen, a bathroom, molding, basement, dormers, windows, electrical, masonry, you name it Selective Remodeling does with pride, dedication, and excellence. Kudos to this company Joe Agate, Samantha, and the whole crew. What a pleasure it has been.

It was truly a pleasure dealing with Michael, Samantha and their employees. They are true professionals and equally personable. Their price for our bathroom project may have been a little on the high side, but they delivered an exquisite bathroom. There were some bumps along the road, but they handled all problems to complete satisfaction. We will not use any other Contractor.

Only use MIke and Samantha if you want great professionalism and insanely fast response times from your general contractors. They are on top of all the details of their projects, and communicate any issues, schedule changes, and fixes promptly.I had them expand our half bath into a full bath and redo my office. Wonderful work, great communication, and excellent results!

I would say that you will pay for what you get, and good work/talents do not come cheap. Selective provided a quote that was high to us up front, but that was also the number we ended up spending (with a 5% over budget). There was little surprise or big jump in our expectation because they did not use a low number to hook you and slowly increase your project cost by change order. To give background, our project scope included: entire first floor renovation (structural work with 1 flush & 1 drop beam), new kitchen, new plumbing, electrical, kitchen vent duct), replace a window with a door and new floors for both 1st & 2nd floors. Selective scoped the work and advised 1.5 month completion and completed in this timeframe. Everyone we talked to was really surprised that a contractor could come in on budget & time as the norm in construction is constant delay/ budget creep. The other advantage we found with Selective was that we could not be on site to verify the work done each day. Our house was in LI and we stayed in NYC during the week for work. Selective uses a software called BuilderTrend which allows you to see schedule for the duration of the project (when each phase of the project was happening like framing, dry wall, cabinet install, etc) as well as provides detailed photos of the work done on any given day. We verified the work when we visited during the weekend but more often than not, we relied on the photos to ask question. The customer service provided by Samantha (our rep) was exceptional. We were 1st time home owner & this was our 1st reno. We basically had very little knowledge of construction and one of our worries was that any contractor could say anything and we wouldn't know right or wrong. But we found that Selective was very honest. We never felt that we were left hanging and wondering the fate of the project. All deadlines were clear, and issues were addressed promptly. When Selective made mistake, they addressed without any difficulty. Ex: their demo crew threw away our closet doors by mistake and they offered a fair solution: either replace with the same door or credit adjustment. Electrician made a mistake and they offered refund on the additional cost we incurred. We were treated fairly & honestly and I really appreciate this fact.I was able to talk to all of the subcontractors (framing, dry wall, cabinet install, plumber, electricians) and they were all very good. For example, the cabinet installer had never worked with Ikea kitchen cabinet and he researched this system prior to our installation. He started the installation and noticed that he needed to drop some height in order to use the moulding. And he removed the cabinet that he already installed and redid them the correct way. These folks were very attentive to detail that I would not hesitate recommending them to any friends & family in the future.Another thing that sold us to go the general contractor route instead of finding each trade ourselves is the fact that things always change during the construction and you have one party to always go to for fixing instead of reaching out to multiple people. When we needed to move the electrical outlet after cabinet installation, or when we moved the location of the vent duct, there was mudding to be done. Selective was always there to ensure the quality of the final project. In my past experience, some trades such as electrican can cut out holes in dry wall for their work, but they will not patch the wall. So if you are not handy/capable of patching dry wall, you will need to hire another contractor to do that work. With Selective, the final product delivered to you on the last day is a ready to move in house. No mudding, spot, damage that needed to be fixed. To me, that is a huge plus as it reduced the amount of work I need to do, and just focus on the decoration of the house.Services: Remodeling

After researching for the perfect company to capture my vision for a long overdue bathroom home office bar gym and family room remodel I was relieved when I chose selective remodeling. Not only are they most professional company out there, they made the process a breeze. They were able to work with me and incorporate everything I wanted seamlessly. They take pride in their work, their communication skills are impeccable and the quality of their work will last us a lifetime. I will use them in the future and recommend them to everyone I know.

While the first contact was good. Was given the ran around to quote on a kitchen counter with very poor communication. Then after weeks I was given an obvious excuse that the counter top I chose could not be done an blaming it on the people cutting the stone. Then of course, I reached out to the stone supplier who told me they had no issues at all.Bottom line is that I totally understand that changing a counter is not as interesting for them then remodeling an entire kitchen, but in this case I would simply ask to be honest and straight forward. This said Next Level Stone Fabrication have been doing an excellent job on price, communication and professionalism.

Leaving a star off because there is room for improvement. This is a very visible spot on a main road. Offerings are good with more to be added. Staff is limited and help is needed ,but the potential is there and greatness to be had in the years to come.

After Selective Sculptures installed my kitchen backsplash last year, I returned to them to renovate my master bathroom. I walked in with my unique vision and Bryan patiently brought it to fruition. We met and texted or talked on the phone many times to discuss, make decisions and answer my all questions. Once that was done and it was time to start the construction, Covid was increasing and I was nervous. Bryan assured me that everyone knew what to do and it would be safe. And it was! Everything was well organized. I had a calendar and a list of names of who would be in my home. Masks were worn and social distancing was practiced. Communication was constant. Everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. I can’t say enough about the team who worked with me. Don, Bryan, Victor, George and Herin are each skilled at their craft, meticulous, professional and really nice people. When I had questions, they were answered so I understood and often they had already thought of details before I could mention them. Each of them went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. I love my bathroom is gorgeous and I love it! I highly recommend Selective Sculptures!

We found Selective Sculptures through the "Best of Long Island" lists and were so, so thrilled with our experience. We cannot say enough good about them. They were the most professional, responsible contractors we have ever dealt with. Our contact person was Bryan who never hesitated to go above and beyond. He was the interface with all the trades and managed the schedule meticulously. He kept us informed every step of the way. He smoothed out the inevitable glitches with understanding, care and skill. Victor and George started the demo, taking our kitchen down to the studs. They were faced with the toughest job ever to remove existing wood flooring, and they remained good natured throughout the grueling process of removing unremovable planks. Don was surely a jack of all trades (from electrical to carpentry to plumbing to painting), working long days and remaining gracious, cooperative and so pleasant despite our pesky interruptions and questions. It was also a joy to work with Joe and Jovanny on our quartz countertop. We appreciated beyond measure their patience during our discussions about sizing, placement and overhangs and thereafter their meticulousness in measuring and orienting the pattern in the slabs to maximize the visual impact. One of the reasons we chose Selective Sculptures was to have all aspects of the kitchen renovation (except the appliances) under one roof - cabinets, hardware, backsplash, countertop, flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing - and we were so happy we did. No regrets whatsoever.

When we bought our house, the kitchen needed to be gutted and redone. After multiple quotes, we liked the model with Selective Sculptures. Meeting with the design team in their amazing showroom, they helped with picking out the cabinets to the countertop, tile and flooring. They also helped with the layout with some features we wanted to add. Our team was amazing and professional. The kitchen had some unexpected structural issues and they solved the problem immediately without a disruption in the timeline. When we had a major problem occur with our master bathroom, we would only have Selective Sculptures do the job. As with the kitchen, we picked out everything needed to do the job and out team did an amazing job. I would recommend Selective Sculptures to anybody who wants a high quality job in their home. We love our new kitchen and bathroom and look forward to working with then in the future. Thank you to Bryan, Mike, Scott, Don, Jan and the our entire team.

Bryan gave us a price on renovating our 2 bathrooms. We liked the fact we were able to go into their store & be able to look through there selection. I cannot say enough about Bryan. He was fantastic, he sat down with us & walked us through picking out bathroom fixtures. He kept us informed the whole way through the bathroom renovation. We loved the fact that they did everything, plumbing, cabinets etc. It was great being able to deal with one company for everything. The bathrooms are completed except for spackling & painting. My wife & I love the way the bathrooms came out. We would highly recommend them. They are a highly professional company to deal with. The installers were very professional, they were extremely neat & courteous. Paul Fabrico.
