The owner, Jim Zeffero is an artist. We redid our kitchen in 2013, after Superstorm Sandy. Our friends still comment on the beautiful job he did on our kitchen cabinets which still look beautiful and particularly a corner piece that he custom built for us. We just redid our bathroom and he built our cabinets and vanity which look great. We recently ordered a custom bedroom set from him which we expect to receive, next month. I always recommend him to my friends, we have referred many that have always been very pleased with his work.. FYI, we also recommended Dynamic Kitchens and Furniture to our son and daughter in law and they ordered their custom bedroom set from him, last weekend. I can't say enough good things about Jim, any time I have a question about my kitchen he is always extremely helpful. I would never consider going anywhere else for cabinets or custom furniture. I am happy to give him my highest recommendation.

I used Jim to outfit my kitchen in my new home renovation - in the months following, I recommended him to others and I regret doing so. The quality of the paint job on these cabinets, and the cabinets he and his staff did for others within my personal network, are terrible. The are literally peeling apart on nearly every door throughout the upper, lower, and island cabinets. None of this is water related or having to do with cooking. I called Jim about the issue(s) and he said it is "normal wear and tear" which is obviously false - the kitchen barely gets used for cooking and this issue started happening in year 2/3. I've gotten two estimates for them to be repainted and both professionals confirmed that the paint job was incredibly inefficient - no primer user, and barely a finish on the cabinets and none on the crown molding. Both estimates are in the ballpark of $7,000 to have them repainted correctly with the standard amount of coats of primer, paint, and sealant finishing, as they should have been done in the first place. I cannot even gently wipe down the cabinets with a soft cloth meant for cabinets without paint chipping off or wearing away. Jim wanted to charge X amount of dollars to repaint each failing door (15+ doors) but that would've been a waste of money as this same issue would likely happen again. There are a lot of talented, credible, and proud cabinet makers in the industry - I suggest you give one of them your money, even if it's a little more - you'll save yourself the frustration, disappointment, and aggravation in the long run. This is the first time I've left a negative review for anyone/anything, but if this helps someone else avoid this expensive mistake, it will be worth it. I have plenty of photos and videos that I will keep for my records - none of with are "wear and tear" considering where they are located within my kitchen - far away from the stove top and/or kitchen sink. It's a shame, but an expensive lesson in choosing the right company to partner with for any type of project, especially when you recommend them to friends with the same, poor quality results.

Excellent quality at affordable prices. We just redid our kitchen and we could not be happier. Almost 25 years ago Dynamic made our bedroom furniture and it is still in perfect condition. Beautiful work that will stand the test of time.

Jim custom made beautiful gray custom cabinets for my laundry room . One wall he replaced all the doors and they look gorgeous !! Does beautiful high end work ! Will definitely use for my kitchen coming up next . Reasonable prices and quality work home run!

Jim made my dining room table and chairs more than 20 years ago. Also have the buffet and china cabinet as well. Jim Refinished the table this week... Looks like the day I purchased it now. He and his staff do great work!!!

He has been in the business for decades, and is extremely knowledgeable. I am very happy with my custom all-wood cabinets. Dynamic Kitchens is an example of local, independently-owned, small business doing the right thing by the customer. This man is a liar. Be prepared for a line of bologna. He asks for money upfront and tells you he ordered the doors, He's down a man etc etc. He needs another week and another week extended into another month and another month. Run away. This man should not be in business. He looks to pry on nice people and uses excuses for his neglect and behavior. I called the better business bureau and a lawyer.

James built and delivered our bedroom set, living room tables, and dining room set after we were married almost 30 years ago. He bullt and delivered our 4 kids bedroom sets one by one over the years that followed. We still have all of His craftsmanship throughout our home to this day. We have moved most of this furniture 3 times across the country where it now rests in Colorado Springs. This furniture is still like new! Thanks you James for your beautiful designs and lasting craftsmanship! Among the best investments we ever could have made.

My wife and I had Dynamic Kitchens and Furniture of Copiague, New York manufacture and install custom kitchen cabinets for us. We dealt with Mr. Jim Zeffiro who is the owner of Dynamic Kitchens and Furniture from the start of the project through to its completion. All of the cabinets which Mr. Zeffiro manufactures are custom made in his Copiague woodworking shop (although he sub-contracted our cabinet doors out to another local company who did a superb job...the doors turned out great). After our initial conversations with Mr. Zeffiro it was apparent to us that he is a very experienced cabinet maker. Designing our own kitchen was difficult because we didn't know all of the in's and out's of cabinet design and layout. Mr. Zeffiro helped us through the design process and provided extremely helpful design advice and recommendations. One criticism we have of Mr. Zeffiro it is that he isn't very receptive to new design ideas (such as "kick plate drawers"); he's rather set in his ways and always wants to do things the way he's done them for the past 40 years. But this is OK...because the way Mr. Zeffiro does things is good...VERY VERY GOOD. Our cabinet installation turned out absolutely SUPERB. Mr. Zeffiro is a craftsman and the cabinets he manufactured and installed for my wife and I are gorgeous. In addition, after the initial installation there were a few issues which Mr. Zeffiro came back and fixed to our satisfaction. We did experience a problem: the production and installation of our cabinets was delayed for several months past our contract deadline which was very stressful and frustrating for us. I would normally take away one star for this problem, but we are so pleased with the end result of the work which was performed that we must -- without hesitation -- give Jim Zeffiro and Dynamic Kitchens & Furniture 5-stars. I read another review which stated that a customer experienced a problem with the paint/finish of their cabinets but we have not experienced this problem with our cabinets. I also read a customer complain, saying that it was difficult to get Mr. Zeffiro to come back to finish the work. We had this problem also, but we simply had to keep calling and bugging him and eventually it all got sorted out. Jim Zeffiro has his faults...I guess we all do...but the quality of his work is so good that I can overlook his flaws and say to him "Thank you very much Mr. Zeffiro...you did a GREAT JOB!"

Words cannot express my disappointment in a 35 thousand dollar kitchen that needs to be repainted in just five years. The cabinet boxes are nice however, they have flaking, peeling and chipping paint. Jim repainted once and we're still having issues. He says it's water causing the problem. We have problems where there is no water anywhere. Even if that were the case - it's a kitchen. It's reasonable to expect cabinets to handle splashing water.
