Rude. They close at 12:30pm on Saturdays. I arrived at 12:20pm and apologized for arriving so close to closing but I had three letters that had to go out certified mail. There was a pony tail wearing fellow behind the counter who chewed me out, said he was not getting paid, and told me to hurry up and write the labels. Seven minutes later a woman came in - a local person - and the pony-tail wearer could not have been sweeter. She had a key but asked him to get her mail and he said he’d do it right away.. By my watch I was back in my car by 12:33. Life has taught me that when people need to humiliate others, put them down in order to elevate themselves, they despise themselves, and there is a the big, black hole inside them that can never be filled. Not my problem. Rudeness is unacceptable period. If I’d been a tall strapping man, he would not have dared.

Worst post office ever constantly receiving other people's mail not receiving my own, and when I complained about they just stopped delivering my mail!!!

I’m reading some of these (old) comments and I’m guessing their outdated… Visiting from Florida and needed help with wrapping glass bottles for my flight. Both older male employees were polite and helpful. They weren’t over the top with excitement but they weren’t rude either. Listen, the employees at USPS deal with all kinds of people, just because some individuals expect them to bow to them because they are in Customer Service doesn’t mean they deserve negative comments. I came in, asked questions, they engaged in conversation politely, and I moved on. As long as I got what needed to be done, I’m happy. I don’t know what these NY Karen’s are talking about in these comments. Keep up the great work USPS!

I recently moved to Cooperstown and thankfully this is the only place I have received such horribly rude service every time. Don't expect any common courtesy here. My whole transaction two other employees behind the counter (im assuming, as one was dressed in plain clothes and not wearing a mask) did not take their eyes off their phones unless it was to briefly look up and stare without a single hello, how are you, have a good day....nothing. I suggest driving to Milford post office if possible. One positive is I have never had a problem with the mail delivery just the people who work in the post office.

Cashiers are not wearing the masks and gloves the PO provides. It should be mandatory!!

This post office location is precisely what one would expect to see in a historic town. It's architecture is charming and historic with a big staircase leading through the lobby. Once inside, it appears humble in size compared to the grandiose exterior. I visited to mail some time sensitive thank you cards. I approached the young lady at the counter to inquire if these would go out the same afternoon. She was very friendly and assured me the cards would be mailed out the same day.

They decide which mail to deliver to my house and which to send back with a label telling to a sender that I don’t live at this address. The postmaster and a clerk man have a good sense of job security. I can't explain otherwise their rudeness and arrogance during my interaction with them.
