From booking to checkout, the staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating for us as a family, and as a baseball team. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, we had fresh towels every time we needed them, and beach towels were offered as well. Beautiful grassy area for the kids to play, plenty of parking, and I liked that there were separate docks for swimming and fishing. Great bonus to have fishing poles to use for free! The one thing I would suggest, even as an extra to purchase, would be some breakfast items in the morning so that guests don't have to drive all the way into town to get food. Would stay again if we come to Cooperstown!

Booked one night to break up our travels from Canada to MA. Visited the Hall of Fame. When entering the office, the staff was very kind and accommodating. Our room was right out front on the main road with the gorgeous view of Otsego Lake right before us! Brought our bags from the car and the minute we opened the door to our room, was taken back by the strong smell of mothballs. No idea where the mothballs were placed as we looked everywhere but it was so bad, could taste it! Rooms and furniture are dated. Bed and bathroom was clean. The blinds on our two large doors facing the water were broken and missing slats so not 100% private. Wanted to shut the outside light off to help darken our room but must be automatic. Kept the door open to air out as much as possible and sat outside and enjoyed the view of the lake.

We stayed for a long weekend over July 4th. The room was clean and service was good. It was hot and muggy but the AC worked fine. The view from the shared porch was great.
The queen sized bed our room was supposed to have seemed more like a full size. The glass door to our room opened to a shared porch. The blind on it had some broken slats. That's something that should be fixed.

Two words: hidden gem. This is a fantastic place that made my family feel like we were at our own lake house. Friendly staff, great quiet location. Beautiful views. Absolutely will stay here when coming back out here.

Family run, homey. Private beach and fishing dock (or boats if you acquire your own). Clean, quiet. Free WiFi, but cell service poor in whole general area.

Nice place, good price, beautiful lake, lovely sunrise. Beds could be sturdier, bathroom bigger and it would be nice if vending machines on the hill worked. Friendly and helpful staff, showed kids how to use the fishing rod that was available for free next to the reception cabin. The jar with worms was available in their fridge for $5. The place would be really quiet, but the bathroom fans (or A/C?) in other rooms vibrated menacingly without a break all night.Rooms: There was an adjacent room door in our room on the hill.

Very GREAT place but the rooms need a dehumidifier cause the room was a bit moist, but still this place is the best motel ever it doesn't follow the stereotypes of typical motels it's a place of comfort and good space.

We stayed here for one night on a Saturday. We can't really say much about it other than the room were clean & friendly staff. It's definitely great for the price we paid. You can walk across to enjoy the lake. Highly recommended if you are planning to stay in the area.
