Best liquor store in the area. Hands down. I’ve been a customer for a few years now and always have had nothing but pleasant experiences. The staff and owner are very friendly, knowledgeable about the products and accommodating. They do their jobs well. The guy complaining about the money probably was just having a bad day and needed something to wine about (pardon the pun lol) Highly recommend this shop.

Do not shop here! The tattooed woman at the counter is clearly unprofessional and not paying attention to her job. I came in on a quiet Thursday afternoon to buy a bottle of Seagrams Canadian whiskey. Instead of paying attention, she was busy on her calculator with a sheet of paper. I gave her a hundred dollar bill for a thirty dollar bottle of liquor, and she handed me back *six* bucks change with the wrong total on the receipt! Bear in mind, I was owed over sixty bucks and change on a hundred dollar bill. How do you mess that up?! Seriously. A couple of pennies or a buck or two? Fine. But sixty bucks! Naturally, I wasn't happy. I asked her to check the receipt, and she did so. Finally, I got my money back and the proper receipt.But what irritated me is this. instead of apologizing, she simply blew it off with an attitude and called it a "simple mistake." Sixty bucks is not simple. If it was their sixty bucks, would it be simple to them? I think not. If they had apologized and just resolved it with a contrite attitude, fine. But even the owner blew it off as a "simple mistake." I don't like that attitude of his. If I didn't catch the mistake until later and had to run back to the store with gas prices being what they are, would it still be a "simple mistake"? No, it would not. It would cost me gas money and time to resolve it, assuming they could even resolve it correctly.The cashier and owner are totally unprofessional, and they need to learn how to do their jobs and run their business professionally. Until this interaction, I was a fairly regular customer at this store. Not anymore. They lost my business because of today. I'll go to Liquor Depot, where they can actually count change correctly and treat customers right.And if you do ever have the misfortune of shopping there, be sure to watch the cashier like a hawk and make sure to get a receipt and double check it. Because these people clearly aren't paying attention to their jobs. But take my advice. Stay away from here and find a better liquor store to patronize.

The best liquor store in cooperstown. It is worth the drive for selection and prices that they offer. The store looks small from the outside but inside is a selection that could satisfy anyone. They even have some local company like cooperstown distillery.
