Bought a hat here that I couldn't find anywhere and was sold out online. I love it ! They have an amazing selection and super fair prices. I would definitely visit again for new gear/memorabilia.

We were recently in Cooperstown and purchased a NY Yankees Classic fitted baseball cap as a gift for our son. The sales lady was extremely helpful. When we returned home (5 hours away) the hat was too large for our son’s head. We called F R Woods and they said to send the hat back with his head size and they would send a replacement hat. Within 10 days we received the replacement hat with a very nice note from the shop. The hat fit our son perfectly!! We were very pleased that they were so willing to exchange the hat through the mail. We highly recommend stopping in at F R Woods House of Pro Sports on Main Street in Cooperstown. They have an excellent selection and an outstanding return policy!!!

Visited in November. Super friendly staff. They were extremely helpful and recommended tons of places nearby to visit. I bought adorable Cooperstown trucker hats for my young nephews and they wear them all the time!

Very nice store. I bought an American Needle Cooperstown Collection White Sox cap that has become my favorite. Wondering if there'a any way to see current inventory?

I have almost as much fun shopping in this store as I do walking through the Hall of Fame. I remember going here as an 8 year old and wanting everything in the store. Now I'm 31 and I want two of everything. Sure, they have all the stuff you'd expect to find in a Cooperstown gift shop: name/number t-shirts for current stars and Hall of Famers; New Era hats for all 30 teams, as well as vintage teams like the St. Louis Browns and Colts 45s; bumper stickers for the Yankees, Mets and Red Sox. But what makes this place special is the vintage souvenirs and fan gear. Remember puffy stickers? Remember 4-inch buttons with players' pictures on them? Remember batting helmet sundae and cereal bowls? Remember painter-style hats with MLB team logos? Remember ceramic bobbleheads? They're all here. And they're authentic. They don't sell replicas or reproductions of kitschy 70s and 80s fan collectibles. They sell originals, the same ones I was browsing over in 1989. One case contains mid-80s stickers for several MLB teams with a sign that says, "Ask about your favorite team!" I didn't see the Yankees, so I asked. "We've been sold out of them since the early 90s," replied the shopkeeper. "Once these are gone, they're gone forever. They don't make them anymore." In a strange way, I was more excited to hear that. Despite this, prices are fair and don't seem too far off from what they were in the 1980s. After you're done in the Hall, come here for a very different trip down memory lane. Even if you don't buy anything (doubtful) you'll leave with a smile on your face.
