“My first visit here was a good one, and when I have a good experience I like to let others know. Especially when most visits to USPS locations are usually not the most pleasant. Not this day at this location though! So let's celebrate, I was in and out in a couple minutes. The lonely gentlemen behind the counter just received a huge order from the customer before but it didn't take long at all(a minute most) and he was helping me with my few pieces of mail and off I went. Very nice...I hope you have a similar experience!”
“Small Post Office and Understaffed it seems every time I go there. Which is fine...its OK. There is always an older women there with short hair. Positive attitude and pleasant no matter how ignorant, arrogant and/or inpatient people are. SHE IS THE MVP!Also I have had issues with packages in the past not getting there when they should as of lately (understandable consdering the times) and tacking information not being updated on the website. I call the store with tracking info and they go above and beyond calling plants to find out where the package is and calling me back with updates!Staff at this store A++++ lucky to call them my local/home PO.”

“My family and I moved to Bay Shore 4 years ago, we've met a lot of friendly people but the BEST of all was our postman "Craig" he's professional and courteous, always has a charming smile, and most of all handles our package and mail with care. We've had other post people in between and they some times they'll put our mail in someone else mailbox, and I've found other people's mail in our mailbox... But with Craig I got my mail. He occasionally stops and play with my dogs, Craig has a huge heart great personality. You can tell he enjoys his job, Bay Shore Post Office is blessed the have a worker like Craig. “I've never had an issue here. Mostly just drop off packages. I appreciate that the dropbox is always working, there are a lot of usps places that have it fill up and get locked, then you have to go on line. I did go on line once or twice for mailing things and the employees were always helpful and courteous.”

If you go to Smithtown you will most likely be greeted with the exact opposite service. Do yourself a favor, don't go to Smithtown.”
“I am beyond grateful for the outstanding service I received today. I was trying to send a package and I was struggling with getting the package ready and trying to care for my two little ones. It was becoming impossible. Just when I was about to give up and try a different day the women who were working saw me struggling and helped me right away. There were two women who came around the counter and brought out toys for my little ones , I believe their names were Careen and Jeanette. Jeanette helped entertain my little ones while another women named Hani got my package already to ship. There are no words to describe how incredibly thankful I am for the love that was shown today. “I can't say enough about Susana at this location who went way above and beyond helping me with a critical situation. An error was made in addressing a package when someone moved and some very important documents were lost. Susana took control of the situation in an expedient, patient, caring and professional manner. It was amazing that in a facility which handles so much mail every day she was able to locate the package and promptly get it to its correct destination. Susana was humble and acted as if she did it every day and just shrugged it off. Meanwhile, on the other end of the phone all I could think of was Superwoman. I hope that this is put in her employee file and at her next review is remembered. I also hope she is considered at the next review for employee of the month. She certainly has my vote. Thank you again Susana. You will always be the Superwoman of Smithtown to me.”
“After a Christmas gift was delayed almost 2 months because of international shipping, Lucinda called me personally and then helped me forward the gift onto the recipient. She was very helpful and kind each time I spoke to her on the phone. It was especially helpful that I no longer live in NY and needed to take care of this from a few time zones away.”

“I don't think the problem is with the Post Office workers. I think the problem is with the customers who flock to this location overwhelming the staff. Especially those who go there for things other than mailing a package/letters or getting money orders. There are plenty of other avenues to buy stamps, get passports than waste the time of these fine people. We need this location for important tasks instead. Those who want passports can go to public libraries, other government offices as well. Do some critical thinking for once and improvise.”

“Large Post Office with a very large parking lot. Roomy and comfortably air conditioned inside. Two tellers on duty, and the line moved quickly. Our teller was polite, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. All free boxes and envelopes were packed in abundant quantities. Post offices boxes available. An efficient location.”
