We are in the process of planning an interstate move and so I am getting quotes from several moving companies. Most have been great and have been happy to schedule in-home estimate visits. I called North American Van Lines (the Hall Lane "parent" company) and they scheduled an in-home estimate visit for me with someone from Hall Lane. The Hall Lane company called to reschedule the home estimate visit and did not have any correct information regarding my needs/planned move. Despite trying to explain my needs, their representative (Jean) wouldn't listen and TOLD me that I would be getting a phone quote and not an in-home estimate. She repeatedly made erroneous statements ("you're moving a 3 bedroom home", "you're moving a 1 bedroom home") and did not seem to care that I preferred an in-home estimate. I have 3, easily schedule in-home estimates with friendly, professional companies that actually want my business....why bother with Hall Lane?

I recently used Hall Lane for a commercial move on Long Island. The entire staff was very courteous and efficient. The sales staff gave me a quick, accurate estimate and visited me several times prior to the move to make sure we had adequate packing supplies and to answer any questions. On the day of the move, the moving staff were very well organized and easily accommodated any last minute changes. They moved all of the furniture and equipment carefully and with out any damage. I have also used Hall Lane in the past for a residential move with the same fantastic results. The owners of the company obviously stress excellent customer service with their staff! I would highly recommend using Hall Lane for both commercial and residential moves.

I would only recommend this company if you can supervise them one-on-one. We lost several items and had some damaged, including a limited edition 25th anniversary Pikachu, all the boards inside the shelf, the plugs and covers of three floor lamps, the feet of the stainless rack, the handle of our antique secretary desk, a Disney globe, and a picture frame.
The moving date got changed a couple of times. My husband was on a business in a different time zone and had time during his busy schedule on a day before (because they said they would only confirm the day before the delivery) trying to reach out to them and contacting the relevant personnel (Corrected by the person in charge: That's not all for calling him alone). When the person in charge finally answered the call, he blamed us for disturbing him during his vacation and said we should have called him earlier (his workers left around 3 PM, and we discovered the missing items around 5:30 PM).
PS. The person we thought was in charge said he doesn’t handle the operations…so maybe no one is in charge in this company?
Long story short, it took at least a full-time job for a week of effort to get them to acknowledge their mistakes. I feel it was totally not worth it. You will be paying a significant amount of money for a disaster.

Many thanks to Raul’s crew for their care and incredible hard work moving us this past Friday. We had several large and bulky pieces, and they handled all with ease and a “can do” attitude. Neat, efficient, and thoughtful, we highly recommend them to anyone considering a move. Thank you, Ruben and Kim

By far the worst move we have ever had. Due to my profession I have moved quite a bit in my career and due to my previous location was forced to utilize Hall Lane who is supposedly a subsidiary of a larger national firm. From the start we were given the run around and it was pass the blame from there. Alex Daflon gave us a guaranteed quote and then it changed from there as he stated it was going to cost more because he stated it would be more than he realized. It states guaranteed on the agreed document. This was after all of our items were already packed.
The moving team was so unprofessional and careless. We paid for a full pack/unpack move. The packing team; 2 of the 3 packers were vaping weed all day while packing our belongings. Items were just thrown into the truck with evident damage after unpacking.
The truck broke down on the way to our final destination and they were a day late getting here. We had a guaranteed date of completion and that was not honored.
The unpacking team was worse than the packing team. Right away damages to our walls and furniture took place. From what we learned 2 of the movers did not even work for Hall Lane and were picked up by the supervisor prior to moving the truck. One mover had diabetes and could not perform tasks and almost passed out in our garage. We ended up having to hire temporary labor to assist with moving boxes into our home. The Hall Lane team caused severe damage to drywall throughout the home as well as damage to our furniture and entertainment devices.
We paid for the top insurance and were told by the supervisor that all would be covered and that we just need to fill out a claim. A claim was filled out not more than a week after the move and it took almost 60 days to be completed. Hall Lane refused to pay to damages to our treadmill, tv stand, as well as wall and furniture damages. For a claim that totaled over $2K only $400 was paid out. Our entire move was just under $20k.
Avoid this moving company at all costs. Jean Salazar is by far the worst. She supposedly handles all claims. I had to send her information several times as she did not know how to search her inbox. Alex is the worst sales rep we ever dealt with.
Choose another moving company. There are so many other better ones out there. Will never use or recommend this company.

The company moved our boxes on 6/26 and initially told us the moving spread is 7/5-8; they told us on 7/1 they would need to deliver on 7/9 and promised to call on 7/8 to reconfirm again. No one called by end of the day on 7/8; when I called back, the person I dealt with at the beginning told me he was in Vermont and had no access to his computer…
After I called them irresponsible, he said he would call to see what he could do…I got nothing still.
I had to be on a business trip and my wife had to take a day off tmr (7/9) to deal with it. I can understand things get delayed; I CANNOT accept such irresponsible handling.
I actually asked my company’s relocation focal to request for indemnification to make up for the loss my wife had to take.

I just had the BEST moving experience I've ever had using Hall Lane Moving and Storage! Raul's crew-Ali, Justin, and Michael were professional, courteous, and treated my home like it was their own. I have moved a multitude of times through my 22 year working in govt and this move was by far the easiest simply bc of the professionalism that Haul Lane offers. I had a wonderful walk thru estimate for entire packing and moving which allowed for low stress on the day of my physical move. Raul's crew took on the enormous task of itemizing and packing every trinket and piece of furniture stored in my basement apt. They left my apt clean and empty and moved everything the next day to NJ! Upon arrival in my new location, they laid down moving rugs and ramps so as not to damage any of the new flooring. Raul's crew went above and beyond putting together the bed, couch, tvs and placed all my furniture in the location I needed it to go. They even hauled off empty boxes that I was able to quickly unpack. I cant thank you enough for making this experience worth while!

Highly professional and efficient movers. Michael and Justin had a great attitude and worked well. They knew what they were doing. They arrived on time and problem solved getting things into spaces we didn't think would work, but they figured it out! These guys were non stop and strong. I would recommend them to my family and friends. Thanks so very much.

My wife and I moved from Merrick, NY to Millsboro, DE on 5/1/2024. After researching many moving companies, I felt most comfortable using Hall Lane as they had a very good BBB rating and what we appreciated most was that they sent a live representative (Anthony Brigis) to our home to inventory all items that would be shipped in this out-of-state move. Full transparency, Hall Lane came in a little higher than the other estimates we received, but again, we felt most comfortable dealing with Anthony. Their dispatcher, Michael Nicholas, was very patient with me on the phone the day prior to moving and answered all of my questions as this move involved one stop along the way. We were sent Raul's crew on move day and these 3 men did an outstanding job of packing up our apartment along with picking up gym equipment from a second stop in Queens, NY. They delivered all items the next day promptly and with the utmost care. I highly recommend Hall Lane and you should definitely request that Raul's crew handle your move as I cannot say enough good things about each of those men. I was really nervous moving out of state but these guys were complete professionals and did everything as outlined in our contract. Thank you all for your hardwork.

This is a review of hall lane movers that lost much of our clothing and personal effects during storage and deliver to our new addy
In addition they lied about sending a check to competitor our losses
And in addition the owner of the company accused me of lying about our losses claiming people hide items in their closets to claim losses
I told Gil that he could come to my house to check out what he claims I am hiding
Not good business practice

On Saturday January 14th I moved with Hall Lane Moving & Storage. It was a very cold day. Two men arrived with a brand new truck at 8am. They proceeded to get to work immediately. I watched them and did some packing of my belongings while they were busy moving items. I looked on a table and saw a diamond cross necklace. I asked the mover where it came from. He said he found it under my bed. I lost that necklace a long time ago when my brother passed. It was unbelievable to get my necklace back. I was so happy. My movers Santiago and Kevin were so hardworking- even on a Saturday after a full week of work. After 8 hours, they cleaned and went home. I would recommend Hall Lane Moving & Storage for your moving needs. My belongings were delivered intact. The job was done professionally.

We had a great experience with Hall Lane last weekend when I moved from my rental house to my fiance's home. They texted to let us know exactly when they were arriving and arrived on schedule. They were organized while removing my furniture and loading the truck. When we got to the new house they were very careful bringing the furniture in and placing it exactly where we asked them to. Young strong men who were polite and capable. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a mover. They were also very competitive as far as price and my final bill was very close to my original estimate even though we took more furniture with us than we thought we were going to.
