Each team member at VEG Commack is outstanding. Dr. Griswold is so lovely and Steve, Joanna and Sarina really went above and beyond helping my cat, making her comfortable through the entire visit. The whole staff was so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I genuinely felt like my fur baby was given the best care. From the moment we walked in receptionists Jen & Mel were so sweet and caring to both my needs and my pet, as well as the whole crew who took care of my cat! I can’t thank them all enough for their hard work.

VEG was an outstanding experience considering the stressful ness of the situation of my sick dog. They were effective in treatment and we were in and out super quick. The staff was kind and thoughtful as they dealt with numerous situations and were true professionals ! Thank you for being there and so efficient in the car of my sick dog! Who thankfully had a fantastic outcome!

I had to bring in my mini schnauzer for a bite wound he received after he was attacked by bigger dog. It was the first (and hopefully only!) time that he has ever been bitten so we were very nervous about his wellbeing. Thankfully everything was very superficial and the veterinarian and vet tech took great care of my dog and he is doing great. What I wanted to specifically highlight in my review specifically was the amazing receptionist, Mel, who helped us thoroughly after we were having some trouble with receiving a refund after we switched to care credit for the payment. She was very patient with us, even as we called her asking for updates and went out of her way to send us all the receipts and details from their end. We really appreciate how attentive and helpful they were about our situation. Eventually we ended up receiving our payment from the bank, we think it was more of an issue on the banks end than the practices end. Mel went out of her way to assist us throughout this entire process even asking the manager to check up on us. Overall I would definitely recommend VEG Commack to anyone, they were so incredibly empathetic, responsible and professional. Thank you again, my dog is now doing great after his treatment and care :) ?

Dr. Loiacono and the entire staff made the experience really stress free for me. My dog had a sever allergic reaction, they acted quickly and compassionately. Their experience truly shows in how fast they are able to make assessments and administer care. Grateful to have them in my neighborhood.

Absolutely loved the care we received at VEG. Every staff member was kind and professional and put me and my pet at ease immediately. There was no wait and everything was explained to me during the exam. The final cost was reasonable.

They were amazing they let us right in and took care of our cat even though she's extremely hard to handle they took great care of her and were so nice. Will keep them in mind if we have any more health issues because they are awesome

I can't recommend this place and it’s staff enough. They saved my dog's life to the point I was able to bring him home and have him pass where he was most comfortable amongst friends and family. Dr. MCguigan and her team updated me every step of the way during the emergency surgery, giving me any of the options available to me at the time. Also, were very accommodating with aftercare when I needed peace of mind. I don't normally leave reviews for places but this place deserves the time for that. If you have any emergency at all in the area this is the place to go to

I cannot recommend this place enough.
I will advise, this place is not cheap. They do offer payment plans through CareCredit, & will direct you to low-cost clinics if you can’t fund their services. But if you’re able to afford it, please do not look in another direction.
My senior dog developed pyometra over the course of a few weeks, & obviously over time it became more aggressive. We had a surgery scheduled with our primary vet, but that would’ve not been for another two weeks & with my pet’s current condition, I knew she wouldn’t last.
I took her in last night, presenting the complaint & I was immediately taken in, after a few minute wait. They took some x-rays & checked her vitals to see what was going on & if she would be OK for surgery. At any clinic, this would take some time. It was after 2 hours we were notified she had fluid in her uterus & needs to be treated immediately. The estimate was … definitely a couple grand, to say the least. But we were not going to take any risks with waiting any longer, so we proceeded.
After a half hour or so, my dog was put on IV to prepare her for surgery. They did not waste any time to get everything ready.
Then came time for surgery, it was around 11 PM & was notified the surgery would be a few hours. They offered us to stay or go home, they would call us notifying how the surgery went. As sensitive as I was with these type of things, I decided to go home as she had to be held at the clinic after the surgery anyway.
I got a call around 1 AM, notifying the surgery went well & depending on how she was, she’d be able to go home later that day.
They kept me updated, left me voicemails in the morning & a text about her progress after the surgery. It was very reassuring. They then told us that she would be ready for discharge later today.
We went to pick her up, the doctor was advising us on her medication & comforting throughout the entire process. Seeing my dog, 13 years old, wagging her tail, smiling, through the cage - it looked like she didn’t even have surgery a few hours ago! The attention to care & detail by this clinic is admirable.
To finish this off, I am very satisfied & happy with the outcome of Mimi’s surgery. We will come back to get her staples removed from the surgery after 2 weeks.
