If I could give this place "0," srarss I would. DO NOT BRING YOUR EGO LAWN MOWER THERE FOR REPAIRS. SCAMMER. TRIED TO TELL ME IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY BUT IT WAS. CHARGES YOU $50 to diagnose IT WHICH PER EGO THEY NEVER HEARD OF A PLACE DOING THAT. Took it out of going someplace reputable. I wouldn't go to Troy either because he claims he owns that too! Had it 3 weeks still never fixed it!

This is the worst hardware store I have ever visited. Customer service is non existent. The products are poor quality. I live and operate my business close to them. I thought it would be good to have a local hardware store in area again since Phillips closed. This ace is terrible. They advertise lawn mower repair. Do not bring mowers there. They do not know anything about products they sell. I do my own repairs and never brought a mower there. From questions I have asked their staff they pull parts off shelf and change parts. That means you pay full retail price. I wanted to buy new Stihl sunglasses. The only option was the one pair on rack that was scratched with finger prints all over them. I asked about order some new ones. Two employees said they can only order more when the ones on rack are sold........

Yes, I bought an item there and it was marked wrong and when I want to return it. He's saying I didn't buy it like that and they wouldn't give me my money back.

I was not previously familiar with the Hatchet Hardware stores, and it was not obvious to me that this was (a new) one until I did a search online. There was no obvious sign for that - but plenty of ACE banners - except a letter-sized paper on the front door. The store is quite clean and very well laid out. I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance very shortly after entering the store. The selection of products in the store, ACE and otherwise, satisfies most of my home and garden needs. They're not the only ACE hardware store in my vicinity, and not the closest to me either, but it's great to have this store as another option, especially when I'm shopping in Colonie.

I tried returning a electric heater that wasn't working up to par and the manager told me that they don't refund heaters and could tell he was being rude with an attitude. He couldn't give any reason why they won't refund. Tried blaming my socket in my house(my tenant is a electrician, which laughed at that scenario) so I said whatever and traded it in for another. Well the next was even worse, the dial to turn low to max did not work and was not blowing out any air. So brought it back and he starts arguing with me that it works fine and says see it's getting hot.. yea it's getting hot in the inside and burning the unit which was throwing off heat. Thankfully I recorded the entire thing because it was just odd behavior. In my 40 years of living I never had to argue about returning something for money I work hard for. It's disgusting companies do that to people. I've never been treated like a thief before until now and my job is a corrections officer. So last thing I'm trying to do is steal. None of the people there had any customer service qualities. Wish I got his name, he was a Hispanic male.

I like the store and I am happy they are finally taking the rewards card. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I met a man named Saul who was putting up a Halloween display and asked my opinion about lights, he did use my suggestion but I have to say the big cat should be up on the table with the smaller stuff around him, you can't see the lights and other items because the cat hides them...
