Though the space is great and the beer and food are good, I will not be returning. Their system for ordering beer and food puts all the burden on the customer. There are no wait staff, which could be fine, but customers are made to get up and order beer at the bar, and separate from that line is another station where you put in your food order. In what according to the person behind me said was a shorter line than normal, there I stood waiting for over 10 minutes to put my order in. Also, the tip screen popped up and the default tip range was 18-25 %. So they don’t provide service but they want the same tip as if they did. Finally, apps and main meal came out at the same time. With so many restaurants to choose from, next time I’ll opt for one w service, or at the very least a more efficient way of ordering food.

The beer is decent but limited (almost entirely IPAs). The food is mediocre and often greasy. The last time we went, we had the wrong food brought to us and a server later came around asking for someone specific because they had messed up her order and didn’t know what table she was at. When they brought our order, they had mixed up the dressings for two of the salads, so I ended up with a southwest salad in a ginger sesame sauce and someone else got the Asian salad with southwest dressing. It doesn’t seem like the kitchen or service staff is very careful so I wouldn’t feel comfortable going here if I had any food allergies or intolerances.
The environment is alright and it can get quite noisy inside, but it’s a little quieter if you go up to the second floor. It’s an okay place to meet up with friends for a casual drink/dinner, but definitely not my first choice. I don’t go unless invited, and I’d prefer not to be invited.

My favorite brewery in the area! The food is very very good. Pictures is the Fidens BBQ wings, poutine with burnt ends and fried green beans.

Huge and very busy place when we went. Even so, the service was quick and the staff is very helpful. Excellent food. We don't even talk about beers... reference in IPAs nowadays (one better than the other). Another place I will definitely return to

Heard alot of hype about craft brewery in Albany so we stopped in for a beer and a bite. Parking is very difficult and I was dropped at the entrance so my date could park down the side street. The entrance is much different than the prior Vintage wine bar and the interior is very dark with bright artwork. We ordered two IPAs served in 12 ounce tulip glasses. This order with 20 percent tip ran $22! Then we ordered a Cuban sandwich with dressed salad and poutine from the counter. I have to say the Cuban was dry and lacked flavor. I asked for some additional mustard hoping to save the sandwich fail and was asked to pay $2 for the condiment. The food order with gratuity had cost $42 before purchasing the mustard.I don't mind spending money on superior products but we realized this brewery was more of a luxury than a local beer spot to meet friends every week. Beer 5 stars Food 1 star Ambiance 4 stars Value 0

They're awesome. Beer and food are amazing (though on the higher side). Can get a bit loud, and parking can be difficult.

Fidens in Albany is a hidden gem for anyone who enjoys high-quality food paired with a great craft beer selection. I had the Chopped Wagyu Pressed Wrap, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly pressed for a satisfying crunch. It’s a must-try for anyone looking for something special. Their Reuben is easily one of the best in the Capital Region, with tender corned beef, perfectly toasted rye, and just the right amount of sauerkraut and dressing—it’s everything a Reuben should be.
To wash it down, I tried their Freshly Picked Flowers Fresh Hop IPA. It was a standout. The floral hop notes were bright and refreshing without being overpowering, giving the beer a balanced and crisp finish. The IPA had a perfect balance of hop bitterness and fruity undertones, making it a fantastic companion to the hearty meal. Overall, Fidens offers a stellar combination of innovative food and exceptional brews.
