Shania at this location has been excellent. She has always been helpful when making appointments and alerting me to any issues with my insurance. I had to take a contact Lense class and she was very professional. She taught me information about my eyes that I did not know along with teaching me how to put in and take out the lenses properly. She had the patience of a saint. And she needed it with me. Now I can do it on my own and with nothing but confidence. We continue to go to this location because of her great customer service. Very pleased with and thankful for Shania.

Highly recommend!!! I had my first appointment with America’s Best in Colonie, NY and I drove over an hour in search of a new eye care provider. As soon as I walked through the door I was acknowledged and the wait wasn’t long at all! ALL of the staff were extremely friendly, kind, and attentive to the patients in the waiting area. The doctor was thorough and very knowledgeable, offering great advice and information. On top of the great service, joining the Eye Care Club only cost me 20$ extra and I now have free Eye Exams for three years!!! I’ve struggled to find an eye care provider that I like and I’ve finally found the one! Amazing prices, fantastic and personable staff, clean areas, and a great doctor- this place is definitely worth the drive!

Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else. They will book you, tell you your insurance is fine, then when you get there they will actually run it, that's when they tell you you're out of network and you can pay cash and submit for reimbursement through your insurance. They wait, so you just say ok and screw yourself over. If they told you in advance you wouldn't have made the appointment, better to wait so you just pay them anyway. Even if I am ever back in their network, they've lost my business permanently. I'm not going to waste my time again with them, I advise you don't either.

I went to this location on January 23rd to get new contacts for my son. The doctor was amazing. Left and said we will get a call. A week and half later I called to check in the status of the contacts. They advised me they weren’t in yet and will call me. I call again another week and half. The girl tells me they are a special contact and can take a little bit longer up to a month. Ok wish they said this but I get it. Today exactly 1 month after I call and I speak with Courtney the manager and she advised that the contact were not ordered because no payment was made. I said wait why she said no Insurance which I gave the girl at the front desk (which was Courtney before she was a manager) my card. So why was I not advised of all of this the first time I called or called me to say hey we do need a payment? Horrible service. Let alone the issues I had to deal with when I went there as well. Do not recommend this place at all.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received in my life! Would not recommended at all!! Spend the extra money and go elsewhere you won’t be disappointed.

I called requesting my contacts prescription but they refused to email or give it to me over the phone and would only print it out in person for me. I finally went in person and specifically requested they print out my contacts prescription NOT the glasses because I wanted to buy contacts online. Of course, I went to buy the contacts online and figured out the idiots printed out my glasses prescription instead of the contacts prescription. They also want you to come in for a second appointment "to learn how to put contacts in" before they will give you sample contacts after a contact appointment (why it's needed and why it can't be the same day is absolutely ridiculous).

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Lack of Professionalism and AccuracyI recently had a series of unfortunate experiences with America’s Best in Tacoma, Washington and Colonie, New York that compelled me to share my disappointment. My troubles began when I noticed blurred vision after receiving a prescription that seemed incorrect. Despite expressing my concerns, the initial response was to try the glasses and contacts before acknowledging the mistake.Due to a move, I had to deal with the inconvenience of blurred vision for an extended period. Upon finally seeking a new eye exam elsewhere during the holidays, it was revealed that my prescription was indeed incorrect. The new optometrist was baffled by how such a mistake could occur.Upon obtaining a corrected prescription, I ordered contacts and glasses online, only to find that the prescription was still wrong. Despite bringing this to their attention, the response lacked apology or ownership. Miscommunications continued, with conflicting information about trial pairs and a lack of acknowledgment for the inconvenience caused.During a subsequent appointment, I was met with unprofessionalism from the doctor and inadequate service. The receptionist had even flipped the L and R stickers on the contacts, leading to further confusion. The manager acknowledged errors but failed to take responsibility, offering excuses instead of genuine concern.After three eye exams, the final one was only thorough because I insisted on it. The lack of attention to detail and professionalism throughout this process has been appalling. It's disheartening that I had to advocate for myself to ensure proper service.Despite promises to cover costs, there was ongoing confusion about payment, and I had to remind them to check their notes. This entire experience has been a nightmare, and I cannot in good conscience recommend America’s Best in Colonie, based on the unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and overall subpar quality of care.

Excellent service and customer care. Store manager Alayna and her staff are incredibly professional and receptive. Will shop here for glasses again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I reached out for a consultation about my glasses that broke in half. The guy (Rick Byan) gave me an estimate and answered my questions with some honest and realistic feedback about cost of repair vs longevity of the repaired frames). While I ultimately did not end up sending them out, I found his honesty and transparency refreshing and will definitely send my glasses out if another unfortunate situation occurs. So often people try to get you to buy things you don't need and I was thoroughly impressed with the integrity of the business.

Talk about accommodating! They are a bit short staffed but everyone comes together and always tries to make an effort to make your experience the best. They are so sweet & patient. I needed glasses urgently as I’m negative 7 in both eyes. In the midst of a bunch of customers needing help they still provided astounding service with no rush. She went through all my options with me , compared prices and was so kind. And they provided me with contacts to go home with at no cost at all until my glasses come in!!!!! How sweet is that! And they asked the lab to rush the order for me. I will always return here for any of my contact lenses/ glasses needs. Great prices with great service

Let me just start by saying that I have been going to this location the past few years now for my glasses. Every couple months I go back to have them tightened. I've noticed attitude problems in the past from the girls working at the front desk but whatever who doesn't have a bad day now and then right? Today I walk in and a girl with red curly hair is sitting at the main desk. I tell her I just need my glasses tightened. Normally they bring me over to the side and have me sit down in front of the mirror. This girl just told me to hand them to her (while she's still sitting at the desk) then proceeds to "adjust" them with her hands for two seconds. Hands them back and says try that. Immediately I can tell that they are now worse than they were before and I go these are crooked and try and hand them back to her. She just looks at me. No response. I hold them up and go see what I mean? The right leg to my frames was literally sticking way out. Still no response from her. Finally I go, can you please just put them in the adjustment machine the way you guys normally do? She gets up all aggressively and goes "VICTORIA CAN YOU COME DO THIS?" Victoria then comes over. Adjusts my frames and I'm all set within a matter of 2 minutes. Not to mention she was polite and pleasant to talk to. Meanwhile the girl that was rude to me was sitting there with an awful look on her face. Where does this other girl get off acting like that toward customers? I wasn't rude. I said please and tried to be nice about it but she can't even respond when I'm trying to tell her what's wrong? I literally can't believe what just happened and probably will not go back to that location ever again.

My favorite place when dealing with eye glasses! Shania is always so pleasant to talk to and the ladies here are always so nice and welcoming! I’m never stuck waiting too long and always get what i need on my first visit. I love it here!
