“People like Sajeel are very rare in the world that we live today.. he is very honest, respectful and very knowledgeable about cars. I called on Sunday morning about a mechanical issue and he came right after to inspect the issue. It took him less than an hour to diagnose the problem. By Monday noon he already had the part that needed to be replaced, and came by on the same day to fix it. The car runs great now. I will recommend Sajeel to all my family and friends because it is very rare to find an honest and reliable mechanic!”
“I’ve done mechanical work independently for some time, including engine rebuilds. When the transmission on my 2010 Bentley Continental GT started shifting slowly, I knew I needed a second opinion. Cary was quick and professional. We ended up needing to replace my unit. He got an incredible deal on a new unit from Bentley and stuck to his estimate even though the job became extremely complex. These are the only folks I will trust with my transmission work going forward. Five stars.”

“I had my car towed late last night. It broke down on me. Turned out the alternator died. The very next day, I got a phone call from the mechanic who explained everything to me. My car was fixed in a couple of hours. The price was decent. And they fixed my bumper. They were also very professional. And I got a 1 year warranty! I highly recommend this place.”

Being that my car's warranty was over, I looked up mechanics near me on Google and came across Essential with all 5 star reviews. I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. “After many bad experiences at my GMC service center in Sunnyside I asked neighbors for recommendations more local to where I live and many mentioned Broadway Auto Center and Harris. Today I visited for an oil change, inspection, an issue with my windshield sprayer and concern about a potential issue with my car. They took my car in and called me once they had had chance to thoroughly look at the car. Harris was excellent explaining everything to me and noted he couldn’t identify any issues. After speaking to me he did a second thorough check (including driving the vehicle) and again didn’t note anything. Rather than charge me for something that wasn’t an issue (my old GMC garage did this) he noted all the checks he’d done - and didn’t charge me for all the time he had spent. For the first time since buying my car many years ago I felt heard and treated with respect and honesty. I will be returning whenever there’s anything needed for my car from now on. Highly recommend!”

I made the appointment and again he discussed their findings after doing the diagnostic and then provided options. He never pushed me to make a decision. “I can't say enough good things about this auto shop! My water pump seized unexpectedly, causing my belt to be destroyed. Despite it being after hours, they took my car in immediately and went above and beyond to help me out. They even managed to get the necessary part from their vendor, who was already closed, by pulling some strings.
