“Coming to this place was exciting, a distant breeze of home. The owner (who immigrated from Calabria in the 60s) was very kind, giving us time for a chat and letting us try their excellent products complete with an espresso at the end. I would recommend everyone to pay a visit if you are in the area, Italian or not. Thank you so much for your time!”

128 Lee Ave, Brooklyn“Yum! Staying in Brooklyn as a tourist, came by here for a nice pastrami sandwich and the qualify exceeded my expectations. (My skepticism came from letting myself get too hungry before eating) Friendly service was nice during a busy evening.”
“Every time I go to my brother-in-law's house in PA, I have to go to Munćan for kebabs and crackers, otherwise they won't accept me?
Can't go wrong here, premium stuff!”
“The Arthur Avenue Retail Market is one of several public food halls across the city, including Essex Market (LES), Jamaica Farmers Market (Queens), La Marqueta (Harlem), and the Moore Street Market (Brooklyn). The Arthur Avenue market opened in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood and still does to this day. There are several vendors, including butchers, fresh produce sellers, dry goods, and at least one restaurant and sandwich joint.I was running errands in the area and needed a sandwich, so I ordered a mortadella and broccoli raab sandwich from Mike's in the back on the right. They also offer many pre-made sandwiches if you are in a rush, but I like to order off the menu. The butchers look great and have an assortment of specialties, including offal and fresh rabbits. I can't wait to see what they offer around Easter time. There are a few tables near the bar in the back and as part of the restaurant, but it's hard to say if you are welcome to sit there to eat a sandwich. Regardless, it's a great spot to check out if you are walking along and want to pop into NYC, equivalent to a European food hall.”

Mitch and his competent colleagues are an affable group of guys that are always ready with a smile and to help.
This former carnivore can always find something delicious on the menu, and it’s still the destination when I’m catering to the meat eaters in my life.”

“My dad has been taking me here since I was a little girl, They used to have another location (W-Nassau) on 61 St. in Maspeth, we used to go there too. This place is a go-to for their stuffed cabbage and Kielbasa (Krajana has always been our favorite). Whenever we visit family, my dad would bring the stuffed cabbage from here, it’s a family favorite. They also have great deli cuts, I included a photo of a ham I picked up. You can also come here for farmer’s cheese, butter, babka and other sweets, and pantry staples like pickled items, and jarred salads. There’s also seasoning and flour, the exact flour I tried to find in Poland but found it here instead!”
“I only started to use them about 2+ yrs ago, after my other Butcher, who my family used from when I kid, acted like an idiot during Covid. So a friend recommended me to Richie's!The place is Clean, lots of items on display, and always fresh! Every guy I ever dealt with has been extremely nice and pleasant. When you walk in, there is always a greeting with a smile! Arturo is doing a fantastic job!”
