Their prices are compatible with other liquor stores in the neighborhood. If you don't see it ask they may be able to get it for you. Also very friendly

I've lived in College Point my entire life; when this establishment was Hamill's, I did frequent it often mostly for gifts for others and was always happy with the outstanding customer service; If I could give this place minus -1 million stars I would; and I actually am by posting this truthful review. Never ever will I step foot into this store for as long as I'm on this earth. My business is now going to an awesome Liquor store, named TIGER WINE & SPIRITS, 121-15 14th Rd, College Point, Queens. Sergio, one of the owners, explained the difference of each Patron, gave info on each aging difference per bottle which allowed me to make my choice. This is where Hamill's needs to send their staff to learn what proper customer service truly represents to their customers. Truthfully, I'm not even sure if the person I dealt with is the owner or worker, but my review plays no part in how they are affiliated, but in how discourteous and disrespectful I was treated, and I'm in my early 70's. An Asian male, heavy set, black rimmed eyeglasses, was behind the register. I politely asked if he could help me with a product called Patron. I was aware they came in flavors, but since I do not drink Tequila, was unsure of what would be good to give as a gift. I asked, "Can you help me please; it took all of any effort for him to move his body away from the counter to answer my question; never did he even come anywhere near the shelf the liquor was stacked on; stood at least 15 to 20 feet off to the side; My question to him was this: Can you help me with picking out a few bottles of Patron and give me some advice on which may be a decent flavor; smoothness, etc. What was the feedback of other customers is what I was seeking. His answer; I don't know!! I don't drink it!! How would I know what it tastes like!!! My answer; I'm not asking whether or not you tasted it, but customer reviews, returning customers usually will tell the clerk or owner of a store, whether they liked it or not; you work here shouldn't you know about the items you are selling!! Then, another man came in, obviously had been drinking and decided to walk towards me, put his 2 cents into the conversation. I stated: whats with you two; jumping down my throat when all I'm asking for is an opinion; I said to my friend, I'm not shopping here anymore; I'll take my $150.00 plus to another store; the drunk now standing by the register paying for his cheap liquor again commented, "Yeah, get out, go someplace else;" I stated to both the drunk and worker (owner) you should have more respect and not allow this behavior in this store; store clerk, stated, we aren't talking to you but not once asked the guy making the purchase to stop his actions. My friend commented to both about their disrespect; Low life drunk came out of store right behind us, said a few more choice words, gave me the finger and he walked to his bench in the park to get drunk. Hamill's does not need our business; so be smart; go to the liquor store on 14th Avenue where you will be treated with respect and if there is q question about what you want to purchase, they are more than happy to help; good old fashion way of doing business; it's called caring about your customers, caring about what you sell, and being mindful of the returning customer because the business knows proper customer service and customer satisfaction. I hope the true owner of Hamill's reads this; fires the lazy clerk and realizes that most of us will not put up with this; I know I won't and will ensure that everywhere I can put a review regarding Hamill's, I will. Signed: A VERY DISAPPOINTED SENIOR WOMAN WHO WILL NEVER SHOP AT HAMILL'S LIQUOR STORE.
