Have been going up to Livingston Manor for years and my first stop is always Old Souls! The service there is excellent and they have a wide variety. I can’t say enough about Mike Kaplan he is without a doubt the nicest most accommodating sales person I’ve ever met! He always remembers me and his service is superb. I live in Manhattan w my husband and we go up there every season of the year so he can go fly fishing. I formerly worked in the fashion industry so I can recognize great quality in clothing but they have so much more to offer - my 2 daughters also shop there when they come up - so so happy we found them years ago!

I’m not one of those who writes reviews and in fact, I abhor it when the sales person requests that I “like” them online however, I had the most incredible and wonderful shopping experience with
OLD SOULS NY located in Coldspring. They offered old -time excellent customer service, which is almost Unheard of these days!
I was trying to locate the store that my father had purchased two jackets for Christmas and did not have any receipts (nor was my father very clear about what store ) so I went into old souls on a hunch and Joanna, the sales associate was so warm and accommodating, and she went out of her way to look up old orders and receipts, and made an exchange absolutely seamless and wonderful. The store itself is absolutely beautiful and have wonderful things and I will definitely be back to shop but more importantly I just wanted to applaud them and their exceptional old time excellent service that they provided and how outstanding Joanna was as a sales associate. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to see you all again soon. Many thanks Joanna and OLD SOULS!!!

I’ve bought some nice things here and enjoy the curated aesthetic of the store. However, I recently went on a camping trip up the Hudson and needed to buy one of those thin inflatable sleeping bag pads, and thought I’d just pop in quickly on the way up to buy one. I was told the store doesn’t carry them! That seems crazy for a camping store not to stock a basic essential like this. Is this a camping store or a glamping store? Maybe the employee misspoke and they were just sold out- I hope so. I ended up having to go to Walmart :/

Difficult to support a local business that is unable show the slightest accommodation for local customers. Bought a jacket here, which you can find cheaper online, but wanted to support local business. The jacket was too big so came back 20 days later with original bag, receipt and tags. I they would not let me exchange it for a smaller size since there is a 10 day return policy and the tag was not “intact”, aka the little string was cut. Was just told no without any empathy or alternative solution. Horrible business plan and even worst customer service for a small town outfitter.

A one of a kind store with an awesome selection of outdoor stuff. Name brand jackets, shirts, watches, hiking gear etc. Service is friendly and helpful. Love coming back here from time to time.

Family owned and operated, the focus on everything you'll find in this store is quality, right down to the matchbooks. The only thing nicer than the selection of clothing, fly fishing gear, and home goods.. is the conversation's you'll have with the proprietors. :) Definitely worth checking out.

This place deserves each of the 5 stars I gave it. The people are nice, they have top of the line named brands, like Yeti, and they're even pet friendly. Prices are at par with the quality and the size of the store is decent!

Very nice outdoor store. I've gotten some great clothes and gear from here. Some of the items are pricey but they definitely worth it for the quality.

this shop has everything you would need to explore the hudson valley and more. the workers are super friendly and helpful the store is nice and inviting. it was a breeze to browse through everything and find what we were looking for. honestly we bought too much while we were here but happy with everything. felt great handing over my credit card to a small business that treats their first time customers so well. will definitely be going back when we are in the area.
