“This is an excellent, local bookshop. It's logically-organized with a great selection. If you need something that happens to be out of stock, the staff are very helpful and can put you on a list to notify you when it's available. Bonus: If you're lucky, you can catch a glimpse of Georgie, the handsome, ginger tabby who is the logo for the store.”

“Visited this shop the weekend of my daughter's wedding, and I needed small gifts for the bride and groom (they wanted nothing large given the fact that were in the process of moving) and the employee (sorry I cannot remember your name), who was very intuitive and helpful, picked out the absolute perfect gifts that were meaningful, but not overwhelming. It's a great shop with unique items. The smallest gifts (and I am not talking diamonds) are often the most memorable. It's a year later....but THANK YOU.”

“When you walk into this shop you are surrounded by books and that wonderful smell of a used book store that carries old books. The shelves are packed with lots of great books. What a gem.”

“This bookstore is a little gem in the middle of the big city. All items-books, CDs, DVDs, books on tape and more-are donated by the public and the library. Everyone who works there is a volunteer! They give their time to sell the books etc with all proceeds going back to the library. The books are so reasonable priced, ie hard covers $2 each that almost anyone can afford them! I highly recommend a stop at this little book paradise next time you are in the Peekskill area!”

“Best book store I’ve ever been to. The store owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Changing selection, which is always built out for any type of book & print collector. He also has a plethora of international prints.Great deals as well if you are nice!”

“Admittedly, this Barnes and Noble is significantly out of my way, coming in at a 40 minute drive, as opposed to the 10 minutes it takes me to get to Danbury. However, this location is simply too stunning to pass up. Everything is well organized, the have a lovely children’s area, lots of selection in every category, and the largest poetry section I’ve seen so far. Given the size of the store they also have a decent amount of clearance to snag at lower prices. In regards to the four star review, the bathroom situation here is disgusting. It was outdated and dirty which is a shame given how beautiful the store looks. It’s also a shame the cafe in this location has closed. Hopefully, they can utilize the space by adding more seating. At the end of the day, it’s stores like these that really make you relieved Barnes and Noble is still in business. Nothing beats spending a cold and rainy day getting lost for hours marveling at books.”

“A great selection of home decor, books, puzzles, gifts, etc. Love that they support local makers and staff is always knowledgeable about the work of those artists. Looking forward to visiting next time I am in Beacon!”

“Small independent bookstore with primarily used books. We made the mistake of going during a street fair in Beacon so it was overcrowded. Need to go back at a normal time to give it a fair chance. Worth a stop in you are in town. I have a feeling the eclectic collection could reveal some gems if you have time to look.”

“I find myself going there often lately. The atmosphere is great and it's easy to find what you need. Also, if you are having trouble finding a specific book, staff is always eager to help.”
