97 Main St, Cold Spring“Visited this shop the weekend of my daughter's wedding, and I needed small gifts for the bride and groom (they wanted nothing large given the fact that were in the process of moving) and the employee (sorry I cannot remember your name), who was very intuitive and helpful, picked out the absolute perfect gifts that were meaningful, but not overwhelming. It's a great shop with unique items. The smallest gifts (and I am not talking diamonds) are often the most memorable. It's a year later....but THANK YOU.”
“Bruised Apple is the best, has been for a long time; it’s simply unbeatable. They have everything from records to baubles to philosophical treatises to geographical landmarks - anything you can think of, they probably have, had, or could recommend something on the shelves. Quiet, respectful, reverent preservation of an indie bookstore.”
“We went there because we basically missed our train. We wanted to explore the area and stumbled upon this store. The owner David is such a nice person. He single handedly made our day. We chatted, got a book and he even gave both of us hand painted human body illustration of a book he was reassembling for free! Just so we will remember him! The next time I will go there only to meet him, he is such an amazing human being.”

Both The owners and staff are very Courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend shopping here.”
“Great selection of religious books on the beautiful Holy Mountain. Everyone is very kind and helpful. The manager was especially kind and really helped me find what I was looking for :)”
“Found this place by chance. The girl at the counter was wonderful! We got there maybe an hour before closing time and within minutes I had a sky high pile of books! Spent way too much but it was a birthday dream come true! Thinking about going back today! It's a gigantic place, you could get lost in! Great for book lovers always!”
“Lots of good condition used books by major contemporary authors, both hardback and soft, for ridiculously low prices. It's a steal! If you like to read, why aren't you here??”
“The selection of books is fantastic. I got help from one of the employees and she was amazingly kind and helpful. She walked right to the shelf the book was on and picked it right out of thin air.”

321 Main St, Beacon“I love this little shop, I make sure to stop by every time I’m in Beacon. They have a few “blind date with a book” options which is super exciting. Nothing beats shopping used and shopping local!”
“A cute little bookstore, with baxter the cat ready to welcome you inside. Has a good selection of books and its own romance area by the window! The back part is mainly a children’s book aisle which would be perfect for gift giving.”
