This company answered an emergency tow request from 911 after my van broke down in 8 degree weather, stranding my family of four, including two small kids, on the side of a remote highway near Clintonville. Sensing an opportunity, the Smith's towing people towed the van less than five miles and then charged $540 (near 4x market, according to the highway patrol person that was assisting) cash, and threatened to drive off with the van when I pointed out the ATM limit was only $500. Basically, predatory behavior. Watch out in dealing with this company.
