I visited Shannon's office to ask some questions about my insurance and was very impressed with her (and her staff). I decided to transfer all of my State Farm policies over to Shannon's office. I am so glad that I did. I really appreciate her knowledge, communication skills, reliability, and pleasant demeanor.

"Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there." It would not surprise me one bit if Shannon or one of her team suddenly popped up like in the commercials just from me typing that. That is the type of exceptional service that you receive from this agency.
I initially talked to Amajah, and knew instantly that this was an agency I wanted to do business with. Her professionalism coupled with her genuinely caring attitude made a great first impression. She actually took her time going through the intake with me, holding a real conversation, answering all my questions, and not just rushing me through like you get with most places.
When I went to the office the next day to finish signing all the required documents, meeting with Shannon I received this same level of service. It wasn't just a rush to get me in and out. She was very welcoming and took the time to get to now me a bit, and to see if there was anything more she could do to help me. Not just trying to sell me more products, but genuinely wanting to better serve me.
I've never experienced this level of service with any insurance company I've dealt with over the years. You'd be hard-pressed to find this level of service in any industry. Every time I've had occasion to speak with Shannon or Amajah it has always been a pleasure, so much so that whenever someone cuts me off in traffic there is a tiny part of me that's a bit disappointed I didn't get bumped just enough to have to make a call to them.
Most importantly they worked with me to make sure I had everything I needed, and to get me the best possible prices for my coverage. Shannon was also helpful in giving me information on how I can get further discounts on my policy. She wasn't just out to make the most money possible off of me, which is what my experience has been in the past with other companies.
All that said I can see myself doing business with this agency for a long time.

I have been using State Farm insurance for my truck and my house. Shannon and Elizabeth are very professional and help me with all my questions. I never have to worry about being overcharged for insurance. I recommend Shannon Barr at State Farm insurance.

From the moment I stepped into Shannon's state farm location, I just KNEW I made the right decision to pick her as my car insurance agent.
Based on my sons Word, about Shannon, that was enough for me to choose Shannon. Yet my own experience, based on just a few days of our contact , my thought was a "YES!, I made the right choice!"
For me, I want to see, speak and know my agent for "peace" . God forbid, I need to call Shannon.
Right from the first phone call i made to Shannon, she already gave me personal service.
If you are looking for price, what she quotes you, is competitive. If you are looking for personal service, she sets the bar.

So I been with Shannon since 2021 my Insurance went up five dollars this year I dealt with it then this month it went up again by $30 never in my life have I had my insurance go up for no reason when I called I spoke with an améisa or something like that believe she was black and Puerto Rican maybe mixed with glasses who told me that it was a company increase i told her I cannot afford that and that was too much I don’t understand why it would go up 30 bucks Can you please fix that she then told me that she couldn’t help me and she no it’s hard! Like what. I said ok then I’m canceling it she then said she needed proof of my current insurance to cancel it she was so rude over the phone and didn’t try to help me nor lower it at all. This girl was so rude I had to pull up to the location when I got there a nice white women I think Elizabeth cancelled it with no problem this girl then asks me “why youtakin pictures of me?” And I wasn’t taking photos I was recording because she was so rude over the phone that I did not trust the situation and I wanted to make sure I had proof she was yelling and making accusations that weren’t even true I don’t understand how you can allow someone like this to work at your company and be rude to customers and talk to them like there trash her job was to keep me to help me not to be rude and tell me she couldn’t help me that’s not how you keep people that doesn’t make me want to keep spending my money with you the disrespect was at a ultimate high I’ve been with Shannon so long the fact that I even have to change My insurance was crazy but talkin to her the way she spoke to me made me wanna leave even more my original goal was to just have it fixed but now you lost me. Get you some more Elizabeth’s because people like her is why people leave

This review is long overdue. Last May 2023 I suffered a great personal loss. I lost all my personal possessions due to unforseen circumstances. Two weeks prior I contacted my State farm agent Shannon Barr and requested to cancel my renters insurance. At this time I thought this was a big waste of money (about $125.00 a year premium) After speaking with Shannon she explained to me this was to protect me from unforseen circumstances. She took the time to carefully explain the benefits of renters insurance. Thank God I listened because Shannon and State Farm literally saved me financially. My advice to anyone renting please take the time to contact Shannon and ask questions. Hopefully you will never find yourself in my situation but if you do this could literally save you financially ?. Thank you Shannon Barr for looking out for me and my family. We’ve had Shannon handle our homeowners insurance for some time. We had our auto with AARP- The Hartford. Their rates went up each year so we contacted Shannon and she was able to get us a better deal for home and car. Great person to do business with
