A friend took me there and I was a kid in the candy store lol. Staff is super kind and knowledgeable. Great selection of veggies and fruit. Let's not talk about the herbalist herbs they have something for every ailment your battling. Wish there was one in Cohoes. Thank you guys for introducing me to a healthy life style.

I had never been to this store although I've driven by several times so today I decided to stop in and check it out. The people working there were very friendly and helpful in a perfectly non-obtrusive way. The store is well-organized and welcoming and they have an excellent selection of local meats, dairy, and produce. I will definitely be back!

I had forgotten all about this alternative grocery store - 20 years later I went in and it still has everything I remember plus even more. The little homemade energy bites *chef kiss* and wonderful selection of natural and organic products both in traditional groceries and personal care!

I eat mostly vegan. I say mostly because I'm not perfect and have occasionally eaten something that I didn't realize had dairy in it. I had a hard time finding certain things that I like to have on hand such as vegan marshmallows. I do not want to eat regular marshmallows since they contain gelatin which is made from animal hides, boiled crushed bones, and the connective tissues of cows and pigs. I find this process absolutely repulsive and stopped eating gelatin long before I chose a vegan lifestyle. When I began my search for better options, I stumbled upon this unique spot in Clifton Park. Green grocer always has Dandies marshmallows and also Enjoy Life vegan rice milk chocolate bars. I get these to make s'mores. I can always count on this great store to have many wonderful specialty options for people with special dietary needs and for people choosing to eat different diets or are concerned with the ethics of the factory farming industry. They do have meat and dairy options from carefully selected farms. I don't know a lot about it since I don't eat it but I would imagine these are better options than conventional grocery store meat. I'd encourage anyone to check out this great store. It's not far from exit 8A in Clifton park, south of Walmart in the same plaza as Nonna Maria's. It is wonderful to support local small business while also discovering things that you won't find at conventional grocery stores.

I find this more of a vitamin/supplement shop than a food shop. I think they are very overpriced, but when I need something in a pinch that they have, I bite the bullet and go. The staff are nice and helpful, but their food selection is VERY limited and their bulk items are not what I like from bulk. I like bulk raw ingredients, not premade granolas and such.Their prices are also very, very high. They have identical jarsof the same brand organic preserves I use- their price was, I believe $7.99/jar, where I buy the exact same thing at Ocean State Job Lot (also in Clifton Park) for $2.99 WHEN IT IS NOT ON SALE. I aslo believe these preserves are available in either Hannaford or Market32 for a bit more than Ocean State, but for way less than this store. It's not just the preserves. I use that as an example. There are other items I buy elsewhere at OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH prices. But, when needs must... in an emergency.

I always enjoy Green Grocer! It's a relatively small market, but there's very little they don't have! And if you're looking for fresh produce, locally source farm products, and a lot of interesting options whether you shop organic, vegetarian, gluten free, or vegan. Give it a look!
