I mistakenly didn’t add a 1099 to a prior years tax return. Being as this particular 1099 was for a Crypto trading platform, the IRS added each transaction together never showing the “cost”. It quickly added up to 500k(clearly wrong) all you have to do is amend the prior tax year with your documentation and the IRS adjust it and actually wound up owing me.
When I originally received the letter from the IRS saying I owed, I consulted with Brian to seek his help. He required he handled everything and he wouldn’t be able to address anything until after the response date on the IRS letter. NEVER ignore those dates! He quoted me $5000 and said it could take years to resolve. I barely slept on it and realized he wanted to not respond to the letter so it would go to the next step which would’ve needed representation. I spoke to a Professional and was told to ask the IRS for an extension and amend the prior year. I did and it only cost $100! Two months later the IRS sent me a letter saying we’ve accepted the amendment we owe you $200. I’ll for ever warn people of his misleading business practices and be skeptical of businesses alike. Reach me for details and I’ll gladly provide proof/details. He will not and is not obligated to act in your best interest as he is not a legal attorney despite claiming he will “represent you” he is merely a tax person seen as a specialist by the court. Sad this is in our community.

There are many outstanding tax preparation services out there that have integrity and ethics, are reliable and accurate, and treat their customers respectfully. This is not one of them.

Horrible service, and down right rude and unethical. Do yourself a favor and look up Kimberly Harp clifton park, she represented brians office, when you do the search you will see why she no longer does. If you are looking for someone with integrity, and is ethical look elsewhere this isn't the place for that.

As a business owner of 31+ years, I highly recommend Brian Daley and his knowledgeable staff to help anyone resolve tax issues. Being notified by the tax departments about owing huge amounts of taxes can be a very scary and intimidating situation. Brian and staff are amazing at looking over your case and knowing how to help!It’s also good to know that they are local and you’re not relying on just a voice at the other end of the phone.

Would give zero stars if possible. Contacted their office looking for tax consultation services. Spoke with a woman and gave her a synopsis of our tax situation and she said that she would confer with Mr. Daley and return my call as soon as possible. Never did. Two plus weeks now. Very poor way of doing business, not even bothering to return the call. Also did not respond to inquiries made through their website. At the end our call she asked if I owed the IRS money and I said no. Seems like they only care about making money settling tax issues with the IRS.Mr Daley responded below and apparently didn’t actually read what I wrote. I asked for services his website specifically says that he performs. His office took my information, said they would return my call, and then never did. He feels that stating the facts is ‘attacking him.’ And I don't consider a time sensitive, potentially large tax liability (tens of thousands of dollars) frivolous. If you don't actually offer a service, don't advertise it. If you don't have the expertise to advise someone, tell them up front. Don't leave them hanging.

I highly recommend Brian. When we had a large amount due to the IRS Brian took us on in the middle of tax season when other tax services wouldn't due to "press of business". Brian and his staff went all out for us to meet a tax deadline and to represent us to the IRS. Thanks to Brian's expertise in dealing with the IRS, and his knowledge of tax law, we ended up getting a refund. Throughout the process, which took a bit of time on the IRS's part, Brian and his staff were with us all the way.

Brian Daley did an excellent job on my tax returns. I was very pleased, this time around I was going to be owing a good deal to the IRS, however, with Brains knowledge he was able to greatly reduce the amount I owed. He also gave me fantastic advice on my side business and how to navigate the future with it. I highly recommend Brian Daley.

I would not recommend anyone do business with Brian Daley, CPA. He did not follow up on an offer and compromise that he allegedly negotiated with the IRS. So, my wages were garnished and I ended up losing my job and having to file for bankruptcy. Find another tax professional.

They were so professional and Brian is very knowledgeable and personable and he and his staff were so easy to work with. They worked extremely hard and for over a year to help us get the best outcome for our tax problems. They kept us informed and explained the process from start to finish and Brian has assured us that he will be available should we need him going forward. We wiil be forever grateful to he and his staff for all they have done for us. Read the reviews on yelp before going to this guy. There is no way he is worth 5 stars per google reviews. He is condescending and rude.If I could give no stars I would. This place should be out of business so nobody has to go through what I did. We normally do our own taxes and finally decided to get some help because my wife went back to work and wanted to make sure we did our deductions right. My taxes are as straight forward as they can be and he charged me 600 dollars to prepare which he had absolutely no input in. His angry tax prep women Irena did it. Additionally, he charged me 300 dollars to file my 18 year old sons taxes. On top of this was another 125 dollar charge to look at the deductions. When we met with him he expected us to just sign off on the taxes without going over them. We called him on this and Irena the angry preparer was on vacation. This left him holding the bag and he wasn't able to answer any questions we had for him. I totally agree with all the other negative reviews on yelp. They are spot on! We reached out to him later in the year to make sure we were still ok with the deductions we set and he tried to charge me again. It was hands down the most ridiculous expierence I have ever had with a business. Please do not go to this accountant. There other accountants in the area that are far better.
