Highly recommend! Phinney’s was able to make me an appointment for my NYS inspection quickly (my fault for procrastinating!) and dropping off/picking up my vehicle was a breeze. I love that I got an appointment update via text and was able to pay my bill electronically. They were fantastic about confirming my after-hours pickup and making sure I knew how to access my keys from the lock box.
I look forward to making another appointment with them in the future.

I was at the grocery store in Clayton and when I came out I was met with a flat tire because of a screw. Thankfully, I was able to air up my tire enough to get somewhere to have it patched quickly but the air was leaking enough to be able to be heard. I went to Phinney’s hoping to be helped quickly as it would only require a patch so that I could get home safely. Instead I was told that if I left my car there, she MIGHT be able to fit me in but the earliest availability they had was next week. NEXT WEEK. For a tire patch. I was noticeably annoyed and said “No that’s fine.” Instead of good customer service I was met with a very rude and sarcastic “sure sounds like it.” On my way out the door. This place may be excellent, but you wouldn’t know with that witch of a receptionist sitting at the front desk.

I recently took my 2018 caravan to Phinney's for an inspection. I was not entirely sure it would pass because our tire were bald but everything g else felt and seemed fine. After receiving a call to tell me my car was done, I was informed that it fail based on numerous issues. I was aware that might tires would.more than likely cause us to fail but was then told that my rear calipers we seized, the brakes were grinding and the rotors were rusted out. I was quoted 1700$!!!! She told me that it was on the lift and ready to be fixed. I said no thank you and my hisband brought it home. After alot of research and comparing prices. We fohnd that witgout the tires (400$) that the rest of the parts would only cost 452$. Not only the ridiculous mark up, we later found, after a second and third look the brakes were definitely not grinding as they are only a year old, the calipers are not damaged or seized at all and the rotors are rusty but fine still. We have new tires now and the person that put them on even told us that someone tried to screw us into paying an arm and a leg for somethat was not needed for the insepction. Literally all we needed were tires!!!We are a big family and we only have one vehicle. The morals of this establishment are disgusting. This is a small town of low income families and elderly people. How dare they take advantage of the people that built this town. I am furious and will never step foot there again. Not even to use the filthy car wash. I would recommend anywhere else. C&M Auto is wonderful and filled with hardworking, honest people. I am grateful for their second opinion because as a mother with a child that has asthma, nothing is scarier than not having a way to drive her to a hospital in an emergency situation. This is damaging to our community, especially when we are going through a recession. Why not make an attempt and give back to your community instead of taking advantage of hardworking people that are already, just trying to get by. Shame on you Phinney's Auto!!

My wife and I were camping in the area, and we went out to enjoy the day and the starter went in our truck. Called AAA to get a flatbed to tow it and they took it to Phinney's. We are very glad they did. We were far from home and alone with no other means of transportation. After we spoke with Kristine she put us at ease, an employee got us back to the campground and came and got us the next morning to pick up our repaired truck. Helped us through a stressful situation and we are grateful.

Now a days it is difficult to walk out of any business and feel good about what happened. Phinney's surprised me! This was my first time and it certainly will not be my last. Everything was handled very professionally and exactly how I wanted it. The price was reasonable (I called a few places). I write a fair number of reviews and I am so pleased to be able to write this one!.
