I just had my first lesson with Erin and rode Moe and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful and Erin was so patient and encouraging towards me as I am an adult rider and I haven't ridden in 16 years. The horses are well cared for and I can't wait to experience all the lesson horses. Cannot wait to continue lessons and being back in the saddle. The lesson prices are fair and reasonable too. You can't go wrong with choosing Spruce Meadow Farm.

My daughter started horse back riding lessons a year ago. We switched three different riding instructors due to how they where with her. Not saying they where BAD but they where NOT a good fit for my daughter. She needs patient instructors that listen and explain more then once and demonstrate what she needs to be doing! Since she’s had her new AMAZING PATIENT instructor my daughter has enjoyed horse back lessons. Shes now trotting and doing the two point. We will keep continuing. Until my daughter loses interest or until she feels comfortable enough to go on a trail. Without being in a ring

All the staff are amazing and great teachers they don’t push you to do things that you don’t want to do. But they encourage you to be your best. I love riding at spruce meadows because I learn how to be a better rider and more confident every week. All horses are treated and cared for very well.

The riding lessons time seem to change week to week at a moments notice. I’ve already made arrangements with my work schedule and school to get my daughter to her lesson so the last minute changes don’t work. Extremely unorganized when it comes to lessons.

Its a very nice place to unwind if your a horse lover, I go just to visit and bring the horses treats. All of the horses are loved and really are special. Lessons are not overly expensive and the staff are great

Spruce Meadow Farm has been an absolute Godsend for me and my family. My son is 7 years old and has a learning disability. I had never had any experience with any horseback riding facility and had no idea where to begin after he had shown such an interest in horses. After multiple calls to many different farms in our area, I found that Spruce Meadow displayed such a genuine level of compassion and accommodation from the very get-go. We have begun weekly lessons and the entire experience has been wonderful. The owner and staff are incredibly kind and communicative. They were extraordinarily patient with my son during his first session as he had zero riding experience. He is now comfortable enough to hop right on and enjoy! I’ve found it to be incredibly therapeutic(and not to mention fun!) for him. My husband and I work opposite work schedules and they have been miraculous at accommodating our busy schedules. The farm itself is beautiful and inviting. I am so grateful to have found this place and cannot recommend it enough.

OMG THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! MY HUSBAND MY DAUGHTER AND I HAD A GREAT TIME. WE WERE ABLE TO GROOM THE HORSES AND LEAR TO PUT SATTLE ON THE HORES AND PONY. WE LEARNED SOOOOO MUCH WHEN NEVER KNEW ABOUT HORSES. THE OWNERS ARE SOOO PATIENT AND KIND WITH THEIR CLIENTS. THE INSTRUCTOR WAS VERY THOROUGH WITH TEACHING. I AM A 245+ SIZE WOMEN AND THE HORSE HELD ME WITHOUT A PROBLEM. YOU WILL BE NERVOUS AT FIRST AS I WAS. ONCE YOU GET A HANG OF IT YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET OFF THE HORSE. MY 10 YEAR OLD HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE SHE WAS SUCH A NATURAL WITH THE PONY SHE RODE. IF YOU HAVE NEVER RODE A HORES THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE. I WILL BE CALLING KARLA TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE LESSON FOR MY GIRLS AND I!! IM SO EXCITED TO RETURN???????

I have a Groupon that I bought for the riding and grooming lesson, as a gift for my daughters birthday, I would like to get our hour booked before it expires but I can't get a hold of anyone. I've called several times, no one answers the phone, i left a message and I've emailed, with no response. Should I ask for a refund from Groupon and take my daughter riding somewhere else?

My daughter had her first riding experience at Spruce Meadow for a week long day camp. I was amazed by, after picking her up from a 8.5 hr day at camp, the energy and pride she extruded each day. I can say she found her passion at Spruce Medow learning how to care for and ride the rescued horses; to see her walk around the stalls with such confidence to introduce me to all of the horses after the first day- priceless! You may not find a pristine area for the kids to store their bag or a locker room, but the horses facilaties are great and they are well cared for. The camp counselors and helpers appeared young, but they are well trained. I appreciate the balance that is created between the kids learning and the rescued horses being cared for; the kids gain experience and the horses gain a happy exercised life with dignity. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere to learn to ride and care for horses that is affordable not pretentious, then this is your farm. I look forward to my daughter's future with Spruce Meadow.

It's not a very organizes place as far as lessons since there is nobody there to supervise how things go. I took lessons there for two months and we practiced only one thing over and over and over!! I learned nothing new. So if you're really looking for a place to help you move forward and learn more and more of riding techniques, I do not recommend this place. The horses that I got to ride were good horses for lessons, to be honest. But they do have some attitude like biting when you're grooming them or tacking them up.
