Teller had to count out money for customer ahead of me. Lost track and had to do it 2 more times. I cashed a $99 check. No fee but needed ID, social, phone number. Had no idea what the legal definition of a check is.

So I've been a SEFCU member approximately 20 years. Today (6/12/2023) I had the distinct displeasure of getting my debit card declined at two separate stores. Big problem as I have three accounts with sufficient balances that charges should have been approved as well as an overdraft account for emergencies. Broadview Credit Union and Sefcu recently merged. After my card was declined (thank God I had cash for the grocery store and a credit card for a restaurant) I checked my account- more than sufficient monies for charges. I secure chatted with Broadview who couldn't give a hoot that my card was declined "so sorry I'll put in a ticket for that" So I stopped at my local branch to get cash and a teller was "so sorry but it's everyone. Including me" best advice- go elsewhere with your money.

I open an account 3 weeks ago because where I work has an ATM i can access, well I never received my member number, I called 3 times and told that they can’t give me it over the phone without asking questions that they don’t have the answers to in there system, I have to wait to get the welcome email or a statement. I got the welcome email with no member number. I also received the bank card. I even had a lady there ask me why I needed my member number, why is it any of her business. Not happy that I have an account that I can’t use. Sefcu is the only credit union by me that won’t freeze my account for something that isn’t my fault.

Changed their hours so people who work during the week cannot access bank duties they need to inquire about. Used to at least be open until noon on Saturday. Thanks Sefcu!

This bank is absolutely terrible. They have horrendous attitudes. And the cashier directly told me that they take money out of your account when you make a transaction, put the money back in and then take the money out again. This way you constantly go in the negatives and they can charge you $25 for a late fee. That was exactly what she told me. You can’t deposit cash into their ATMs either. This bank is horrible. I had to add this in since they didn't have this bank. They are shady and extremely rude. The cashier literally told me that they pull money out of your account when you buy something, then put it back in, to take it out again when you have little money so they can charge you $25 for a overdraft fee. Where is that fair? Got any more to add? Yes. They take days to cash a large check, days. I've had this bank for almost 5 years now and I'm switching first chance I get. They've totally screwed me over multiple times. I recently checked my bank account to find yet again they're up to their dirty schemes and put me in the negatives by almost $60 so I'll get hit with a $25 overdraft fee since I get paid next week. They've taken money out of my savings account little by little. Don't know where they put the money they took out of it. I had money saved up for gas for my mom's car, etc. and they took it. No notification, nothing. This bank is horrendous, the customer service is terrible, I be had it. Don't bank with this idiots, it's not worth the stress
