They returned my car with a check engine light after replacing a warranty part - replacing the warranty part didn’t fix the issue I towed it in for which was the vehicle having an ECP light on and spotty acceleration (ECP light now off, check engine on, still can’t accelerate quickly without noticeable stuttering). Took 3 weeks to get an appointment and they don’t allow loaners until the appointment, then tell you they don’t actually have loaners available and you should use their rental partner. I called to say the car wasn’t fixed, representative said they’d be closing soon, to rent a car with their partnered service, and they’d be able to look at it again but there was no guarantees on when or if they’d actually do the ”multi point inspection” they said they had.

Where do I begin? The first salesman I worked with (Matt) was so disengaged I questioned his sobriety. We were an easy sale. Having owned a VW before, we knew what we wanted and he allegedly found the car for us, we gave him a deposit, and he promised to call us when the car arrived in the next couple days. He never called. We called him the following week. He didn’t call back. Finally, after multiple attempts to communicate with a sales manager, another salesman (Larry) called to tell me that Matt had quit and he would be taking over. My husband later mentioned how he found it odd that Matt appeared to be packing up his desk while I ran out to my car to get my registration and insurance paperwork. We agreed to come pick up the car the next day. Larry reluctantly agreed to accommodate our timeline despite needing to go pick up his child. We arrived to Driver’s Village and while Larry sorted through paperwork, we went to look at the vehicle. Except it wasn’t the vehicle. This one was missing specific features that we specifically asked and paid for. To his credit, Larry and his boss were apologetic. They said they’d find the right vehicle and if they didn’t, they would give us a small discount on this vehicle. Larry was off the next day and going fishing but he’d call me anyway with an update. He didn’t. When I called him two days later and mentioned that he never called me, he tersely responded that he had been off the day before. They didn’t have the vehicle we wanted so we decided to rescind our decision and asked for our deposit back. Larry half heartedly attempted to compel us to keep working with them to find another vehicle. We declined. He said he’d have a check sent to us with our refund for the deposit. We waited two weeks and never received a check. I called and left a message with Larry and then with his boss for good measure. They didn’t call back. I called them again and this time reached Larry. He promised me that he would check with Accounting on the status of the check and get right back to me. I waited a couple of hours and called back when he, once again, did not call me back. This time, I left a message stating that I would be there at 1pm that day (a couple hours from the point of the call) to pick up a check. I left my office at 1:45 to go get the check and on my way there, Larry called to tell me they would be putting the refund back on my card and I didn’t have to go into the dealership. I would see the refund in 72 hours. It has now been 6 days and I’ve seen no refund nor is there one pending in my account. I spoke with a receptionist yesterday who said the sales manager was going to meet with Accounting after he finished with a customer and would call me back within the hour. He never did. My husband called this morning and spoke to Larry, who was at the gym, and Larry said he’d check with the elusive Accounting and would call him back. Did I mention that they also failed to notify our insurance company so we were charged $1600 to insure a vehicle we don’t own?

Great service! from start to finish Larry at Burdick VW was great! He was very informative, flexible and made sure that we got in the right vehicle. Larry is very personable and great to get along with. Places need more salesman like Larry!!

From beginning to end, my NEW 2024 Atlas Cross Sport purchase experience was outstanding.
I met the nicest salesperson who walked me through every step of the process and was never once pushy. Huge thanks to Jacob Alobaidi for your kindness, patience and extreme thoughtfulness. This encounter will not soon be forgotten, as I’m overjoyed with my experience and, of course, my new vehicle.
I’d also like to thank Mike Gould, Director of Sales, for introducing me to Jacob and the finance crew for their quick response time.

I just purchased a 2024 Tiguan from Larry Connors and highly recommend him when you visit the Drivers Village dealership. After doing my homework online, I visited 3 dealerships to compare two different models from each, so I obviously didn't plan to make a costly purchase decision quickly. Larry was polite and patient with all of my questions. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. Once needed, I hope to be able to follow up with another positive review regarding the service dept. Thank you Larry!

We had the best experience last week at Burdick VW. Our sales agent, Jacob, was the most helpful person we have ever purchased a car from. He handled everything with the all the paperwork, DMV, and transferring our insurance, but he also went over every aspect of the car thoroughly and made sure we understood how everything worked, including our warranty. We received frequent updates through every step of the car buying process. I can’t recommend this dealership, and Jacob, enough. We will definitely be repeat customers.

I've been going to Burdick since 2019, when I first moved to Syracuse. I just traded in my Mitsubishi outlander for a Volkswagen Atlas Cross. Peter was able to make my trade in happen exactly the way I asked him to do it. I'm pleased with the Atlas. If you plan on purchasing a Volkswagen, definitely look for Peter. Easy to talk to and definitely knows what he's doing.
